Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

You will design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure that supports the program's mission workloads, working alongside senior engineers and taking on more design ownership over time.

Responsibilities

• Run cloud infrastructure across supported environments, covering compute, storage, and networking.
• Write infrastructure-as-code in Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible so deployments are consistent and repeatable.
• Configure identity, access, and network security across cloud environments.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deploy containerized workloads on Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and respond to incidents on supported infrastructure.
• Implement security controls and run STIG compliance checks on systems you own.
• Deliver infrastructure as version-controlled code rather than manual configuration.
• Keep containerized applications running reliably in supported environments.
• Document infrastructure decisions, runbooks, and operating procedures.
• Resolve infrastructure incidents promptly and escalate when complexity exceeds your scope.
• Verify security controls against the required baselines.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience deploying, managing, or securing applications in a cloud such as AWS or Azure.
• That experience should include infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible, containers and orchestration such as Docker or Kubernetes, and scripting for automation in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher (Security+, CISSP, CASP, CCNA Security, or equivalent), or the DoD 8140 equivalent.

Conditions

An active TS clearance is required, and SCI is preferred.

The base pay range is $103,200 to $196,400 USD in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia.

Actual pay depends on office location, role, skill set, and experience.
