Description

You would be an engineer on the global Factory Information Systems (FIS) team, working on the development, rollout and ongoing upgrades of the team's manufacturing IT platform.

FIS is an in-house system that tracks and monitors manufacturing processes at production sites around the world.

You would partner with global engineering and manufacturing groups to keep the system stable, connect production equipment cleanly, and keep plants running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Build, update and support software for the Factory Information System, meeting quality standards and project deadlines.
  • Learn how factory processes work so you can integrate and improve IT systems on the production floor.
  • Take part in analysing, designing, rolling out and deploying FIS applications and features worldwide.
  • Serve as a technical expert for system operations, incident handling, troubleshooting and fixing problems.
  • Plan and run system deployments across manufacturing sites, making sure they go live well and keep running.
  • Advise production sites on how applications work, how to configure the system, and what it can integrate with.
  • Help manufacturing sites connect and integrate new production equipment with the Factory Information System.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, computer science, information technology or a closely related technical field.
  • At least 4 years of IT or software development experience, preferably on mission-critical transaction systems that handle high data volumes.
  • Strong programming skills in object-oriented languages such as C or VB.NET.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as TCL, Python or Bash.
  • Knowledge of Red Hat Linux environments and Linux-based applications.
  • Experience with MariaDB or MySQL databases.
  • English at B2 level or higher, and the ability to work well with international teams.

Conditions

The company welcomes candidates from all backgrounds.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package.
  • Health insurance.
  • Access to internal and external training, coaching and professional certifications.
  • Recognition for innovation and excellence.
