AI Platform Manager

Description

You will keep the company's enterprise AI platforms running reliably, securely, efficiently and within governance rules. The work covers operations, service performance, incidents and requests, releases, environments and cost control for AI solutions used across the organisation.

You will work with AI product managers, AI engineers, data scientists, architecture, cybersecurity, finance, suppliers and business stakeholders. The aim is to keep strong operational control while letting teams innovate and deliver value quickly.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run the operating model for AI platforms, covering platform health, lifecycle, supplier relationships, roadmap decisions and alignment with architects and business leads.
• Make sure platforms and services meet enterprise standards for technology, security, risk, compliance and AI governance.
• Own incident, request, escalation and service performance processes against IT SLAs and reporting obligations.
• Build and manage release, change and deployment processes, including production readiness, approvals, communication and post-release checks.
• Automate releases through GitHub and keep operational records, CMDB entries and ServiceNow governance accurate.
• Define the environment strategy across development, testing, staging and production on Microsoft and Google AI platforms.
• Track platform usage, costs, budgets and forecasts, applying AI FinOps practice for transparency, optimisation and accurate cost allocation.
• Produce operational reports and dashboards, lead root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement and operational maturity work.

Requirements

• You have extensive experience running enterprise technology platforms, digital products or shared services.
• You have strong experience with operational governance, incident and service request handling, release coordination, change control and service performance management.
• You have worked with Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud, and with ITSM, service assurance and operational reporting.
• You have managed technology costs, budgets, forecasting or FinOps practices.
• You can work effectively across technical teams, business stakeholders, suppliers and leadership forums.
• Desired: experience supporting AI, analytics, data or digital transformation platforms.
• Desired: knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI and emerging regulatory requirements.
• Desired: familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, Power Platform or equivalent technologies.
• Desired: experience in a product-centric delivery model, and certifications in ITIL, FinOps, Azure, AWS or related disciplines.
