Description

You will own and shape more than $1B in North American media spend as a senior media procurement leader, working as a commercial operator who knows agencies, platforms, digital, data, measurement and the economics behind them.

You will lead strategic sourcing and negotiations with media agencies and platforms, making sure partnerships produce measurable business value, transparency and performance. You will work with marketing, finance, legal, operations and external partners to make investments smarter and results stronger.

This is an individual contributor role based in Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America.

The company has operated for 130+ years. The role is not a media strategy, planning or brand marketing position, and it is not purely consultative procurement or governance. Candidates without direct commercial experience negotiating media agency or platform agreements are not a fit.

  • Make sure supplier performance supports business and financial goals.
  • Work with marketing, legal, finance, operations and global procurement to align media investment with company goals.
  • Help drive transformation and changing commercial models across the media ecosystem.
  • Act as a commercial counterweight and trusted adviser to marketing stakeholders.
  • Track media, technology and market trends to spot opportunities, reduce risk and improve results.
  • Build scalable frameworks for cost modeling, measurement, governance and performance management.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience, with deep knowledge of the North American media market.
  • Direct, hands-on experience negotiating and managing media agency and platform contracts is required.
  • Solid understanding of media agencies, digital media, eCommerce, planning and optimization, data, tools and measurement.
  • A track record of managing large commercial portfolios and complex negotiations.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Commercial judgment, strategic thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Listed skills: budget management, category management, communication, continual improvement process, contract agreements, economic cost drivers, group problem solving, low cost country sourcing, marketing capabilities, Microsoft Office, negotiation, procurement practices, strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, technical category procurement.
