Description

The company runs a specialty care platform that links people with top specialists for surgery, cancer care, infusions and other needs. It builds a network of the nation's leading specialists, which lowers costs for employers and their workforces.

Each member gets a dedicated care team, including Care Advocates and nurses, across their whole care journey. Specialists are reachable nationwide, and the company is trusted by large national employers to care for more than 6 million members.

You will join the Analytics Engineering team as a senior data warehouse engineer. The role centres on building and running ELT pipelines, designing scalable data models and improving the speed of analytics on the company's analytic platform. You should bring hands-on work with Azure Data Factory, Fivetran and dbt, plus a solid grasp of modern data architecture and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain scalable ELT workflows with Azure Data Factory, Fivetran and dbt.
  • Watch pipeline health actively and troubleshoot problems so data arrives reliably.
  • Work with data analysts to learn what the business needs, then turn those needs into efficient, well-documented dbt models.
  • Keep refining models as analytic requirements change.
  • Run the analytic platform day to day: track query performance, set up data partitioning and adjust models to make queries faster and leaner.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of professional work as a data engineer, data warehouse engineer or similar role building production data pipelines.
  • At least 5 years of production-grade Python and SQL.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on Databricks work, including Spark or PySpark, Delta Lake and Workflows.
  • Hands-on experience building ELT or ETL pipelines with tools such as Azure Data Factory, Fivetran or dbt.
  • A firm grasp of data warehousing, with practical experience designing, building and tuning data models, such as dimensional models.
  • Experience tuning query and pipeline performance.
  • Experience serving analytics and reporting users, working alongside analysts and other teams.
  • Daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Copilot in engineering work.
  • Preferred: experience with Databricks Genie or Snowflake Cortex.
  • Preferred: experience in the healthcare industry.
  • You make decisions with logic and know that steady progress drives change. You keep execution sharp in a fast-moving setting and mark both small and large wins.
  • You care about inclusion and value a diverse team with varied experiences and views.
  • You bring grit and ambition to hard problems, and you back new ideas.
  • You keep the people you serve at the centre of your decisions and are motivated by the change you can make for them.
  • You stay honest and favour the truth over telling people what they want to hear.
  • You do well in a team, since collaboration drives innovation.
