Description

The company is a global data and technology firm with more than 1,200 employees. It helps operators in energy, agriculture and weather-driven industries decide faster and more accurately, using its Operational Decisioning Platform to turn complex data into decision-grade insights.

The company is in a growth phase, building on its financial strength and profitability while widening its reach around the world. Its AI-powered, industry-specific solutions help large enterprises handle operational limits and find new openings.

The role sits within the agriculture portfolio. The company turns farm, crop, weather, market and supply chain data, from its own sources and third parties, into tools that help agribusinesses make better commercial and operational decisions.

You will set the direction for the foundational data products behind that portfolio, shaping how agricultural data is structured, governed and delivered for reuse across customer products, analytics, APIs and AI, including the data groundwork for generative AI and predictive models.

This is a senior individual contributor position with wide autonomy and influence over Product, Data Engineering, Architecture, Data Science, commercial leaders and executives. You will set strategy and roadmap and help teams build differentiated experiences on trusted, scalable data that adds customer and commercial value.

Responsibilities

  • Set the strategy, roadmap and funding priorities for agricultural data products, covering pipelines, canonical data models, APIs and shared data services.
  • Spot shared data needs across the agriculture portfolio and turn them into reusable, scalable platform capabilities.
  • Rank investments by customer value, commercial upside, data quality, technical feasibility and long-term scalability.
  • Assess new datasets and capabilities for strategic fit, differentiation, commercial potential and their use in analytics, machine learning and AI.
  • Work with Data Engineering, Architecture, Data Science and Product to turn customer and product needs into scalable data solutions.
  • Lead data initiatives from discovery and definition through delivery, adoption and ongoing improvement.
  • Set requirements for data quality, coverage, freshness, reliability, governance and access.
  • Resolve tradeoffs and align teams on complex initiatives that span multiple products, systems and teams.
  • Define success measures for quality, reliability, adoption, efficiency, customer value and commercial impact.
  • Use product performance, customer needs and stakeholder feedback to keep improving the data products.
  • Find ways to extend how agricultural data supports analytics, machine learning, predictive models and AI.
  • Help build a trusted data foundation so people and AI systems can find, understand and use agricultural data reliably.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of product management experience, including owning complex data, platform or B2B SaaS products.
  • A track record of taking products from strategy and discovery through delivery and ongoing optimization.
  • Sound product judgment and business sense, with good decisions in technically complex and ambiguous settings.
  • Ability to weigh customer value, commercial opportunity, technical complexity and long-term platform strategy together.
  • Experience managing data-heavy products involving pipelines, APIs, integrations, analytics or data platforms.
  • Solid grasp of modern data architecture, including lakes and warehouses, ETL/ELT, APIs, cloud infrastructure, data modeling and governance.
  • Experience working closely with Data Engineering, Architecture and Data Science teams.
  • Skill at explaining complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical people.
  • Understanding of what machine learning and AI need from data, including quality, metadata, context, governance and reliable access.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management with technical, product, commercial and executive audiences.
  • Proven ability to shape strategy and build alignment without direct authority.
  • Strong prioritization and delivery across complex, cross-team work.
  • Stand out: experience in agriculture, ag-tech, data platforms, market intelligence, geospatial technology or another data-intensive industry.
  • Stand out: familiarity with agricultural data such as farm and field data, crop production, weather, markets, agronomy or ag supply chains.
  • Stand out: experience building data products for analytics, predictive models, machine learning or AI.
  • Stand out: experience with geospatial data, predictive analytics or AI-ready data infrastructure.
