Description

The Marketing Data & Measurement team is new, and you will help build it, setting up its foundations, ways of working and product capabilities for data-driven marketing decisions.

The company is ranked the number one e-pharmacy in Europe.

You do not need to build data pipelines yourself, but you need a solid grasp of modern data platforms, data models, pipelines and marketing measurement methods. You will work closely with technical experts, question their solutions and turn complex marketing needs into scalable data products.

Tools in use: Databricks, dbt, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Cloud, modern data platforms, marketing analytics, data products, Jira and Confluence.

You take end-to-end ownership of the data product strategy and portfolio for one business domain, which can be Customer, Marketplace, Finance, Procurement, Pricing or Marketing.

The role sits where business, product and data meet. You can question assumptions, pick the opportunities with the most impact and bring business stakeholders and cross-functional Data & AI teams behind one product direction.

This is not a traditional requirements role. You think in problems, outcomes and products, not in requests and individual reports.

Responsibilities

  • Build and shape the new Marketing Data & Measurement team, setting up its foundations, working methods and product capabilities.
  • Own the Marketing Data Product roadmap and turn the measurement strategy from Marketing and Marketing Analytics into scalable products for attribution, customer lifetime value (CLV), marketing mix modeling (MMM) and incrementality testing.
  • Own the technical base of the data products with Data Engineering and IT, covering reliable data models, pipelines and the integration of new sources into the existing data stack.
  • Work with Marketing and Marketing Analytics to understand business problems, turn them into product opportunities, set priorities and keep improving performance and adoption.
  • Drive adoption and value by making the products part of daily marketing decisions and tracking results through product metrics, stakeholder feedback and business KPIs.
  • Be the main link between Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Data Engineering and IT, aligning them on priorities, dependencies, technical requirements and delivery.
  • Lead cross-functional work with product teams, data engineers, analysts and technical stakeholders to build scalable, reliable solutions.
  • Manage the backlog and agile delivery in Jira and Confluence, balancing new capabilities, technical improvements and operational work, and handling sprints and stakeholder expectations.
  • Support a modern data platform that gives Marketing Analytics accessible, reusable and trustworthy data products.
  • Set clear standards for reliability, consistency and accessibility across all team products, and own data quality and governance.

Requirements

  • Several years as a Product Owner or Product Manager in marketing analytics, MarTech or data products, ideally with experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Solid knowledge of marketing and e-commerce, including performance and brand marketing, CRM, customer retention and how data guides commercial decisions.
  • Hands-on experience with attribution, marketing mix modeling (MMM) and incrementality testing, and how they inform marketing effectiveness and investment decisions.
  • Strong grasp of modern data platforms, especially Databricks, dbt and Power BI, and confidence working with technical teams on data models, pipelines and integrations.
  • Proven agile experience, including backlog management, sprint planning and stakeholder coordination in Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills: you influence cross-functional teams and explain complex technical and measurement concepts to senior and C-level stakeholders.
  • A hands-on, product-minded approach, comfortable working across marketing, data and IT, questioning requirements and turning business needs into scalable solutions.
  • Fluent English and German.
  • A strong advantage: experience in e-commerce, retail or healthcare/pharmaceutical.

Conditions

Remote position based in Germany, with occasional on-site collaboration at the Berlin or Cologne offices when business and team needs require it.

Benefits

  • Work from home: if the job does not require office presence, your work location can be arranged individually, including up to 20 days a year anywhere in the EU.
  • Regular team events and celebrations, including scheduled parties.
  • Kindergarten grant of 100,00 € (total) per month for employees who pay for kindergarten childcare.
  • Free, anonymous support from psychologists at nilo if you feel overwhelmed at work or in private life.
  • Career development through internal and external training.
  • Fully covered Deutschland Ticket, usable at any time.
  • Sports and health: a Urban Sports Club membership (M package) with a range of sports offers matched to your interests.
