Description

The company is Europe's No.1 e-pharmacy, and this role covers the data products for its Finance and Procurement areas.

You do not need to build data pipelines or complex data models yourself, but you should be comfortable with modern data platforms, financial data structures, and technical discussions with engineering and analytics teams.

Tools in use include Databricks, Power BI, modern data platforms, Jira and Confluence.

You will define the data product strategy and roadmap that helps business teams make faster, better-informed financial and commercial decisions.

You will have room to question assumptions, get stakeholders aligned on shared priorities, and drive data products that produce clear business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Take end-to-end ownership of the Finance and Procurement data products, which support financial reporting, controlling, procurement analytics, cost transparency and operational decisions.
  • Build and keep refining the Finance and Procurement product roadmap, spotting high-impact opportunities, testing business requirements, and ranking work by business value, user needs and strategy.
  • Work with Finance and Controlling to deliver reliable insight into financial performance, profitability, cost structures, budgeting, forecasting and financial KPIs.
  • Work with Procurement to improve visibility of purchasing, supplier management, spend analytics, procurement efficiency and cost savings.
  • With business and technical teams, improve data quality, align KPI definitions, clarify data ownership, and keep Finance and Procurement information consistent.
  • Turn complex finance and procurement processes into clear requirements for Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Forward Deployed Engineers and DataOps, aiming for reusable products.
  • Define success metrics, track usage and impact, and refine products based on stakeholder feedback.
  • Act as the main link between Finance, Procurement and Data & Analytics, balancing competing priorities, managing expectations and keeping decisions and delivery transparent.
  • Maintain backlogs, communicate priorities, record decisions and show roadmap progress in Jira and Confluence.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in data product management, analytics product management or closely related data-driven product roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Finance, Controlling and/or Procurement, including financial reporting, performance management, cost structures, spend analytics or procurement processes.
  • You understand how Finance and Procurement teams use data to decide, and can turn their complex needs into scalable, reusable data products.
  • A track record of owning strategy, roadmaps, prioritisation and measurable outcomes, ideally with several business stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • You are confident with senior stakeholders, including Finance and Procurement leadership, and willing to challenge assumptions, align views and drive decisions.
  • You think analytically and value consistent KPI definitions, data quality, governance and reliable reporting.
  • Enough technical understanding of modern data platforms, data modelling and business intelligence to work with technical teams and question their proposals.
  • An advantage: experience with Databricks, Power BI or comparable modern cloud data platforms.
  • You combine strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on style and take ownership of outcomes, not only requirements or delivery.

Conditions

This is a remote position based in Germany, with occasional on-site collaboration at the Berlin or Cologne offices, depending on business and team needs.

Benefits

  • Work from home where the role does not need office presence, with the place of work arranged individually, including up to 20 days a year from anywhere in the EU.
  • Regular team events and celebrations.
  • Kindergarten grant of 100,00 € (total) per month for employees who pay for kindergarten childcare.
  • Free, anonymous support from psychologists at nilo for personal or work-related stress.
  • Internal and external training and support for career development.
  • Fully paid Deutschland Ticket, usable at any time.
  • Membership package (M) at Urban Sports Club, with sports offers matched to your interests.
