Description

The company combines two established brands and works across 20 studios in 18 countries, with colleagues who collaborate closely toward one goal: ideas that deliver real business results for leading clients in health and wellness.

In 2023 the company was named a Top 100 Most Loved Workplace, and its agency network ranked among the top ten award winners at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

Each brand keeps its own identity and market presence, while sharing resources and strategic direction that open up opportunities worldwide.

The role is a Senior Copywriter position with a Senior Art Director partner, reporting to the Creative Director. It suits someone curious about ideas and what brands can do for the world, who works well in a creative, collaborative setting and wants to keep growing among experienced creatives.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the strategic goals of each brand in your portfolio and decide when an idea fits a brand.
  • Use advertising to solve marketing problems.
  • Develop original ideas for your brands using your knowledge of agency work, advertising and current events.
  • Turn ideas into finished copy for every medium, with clear, concise, persuasive writing and strong headlines.
  • Understand every creative element needed to carry an idea through production.
  • Adopt each brand's voice.
  • Work with art directors, account teams and production staff to refine ideas into effective, on-brand campaigns.
  • Present ideas with the art director, both internally and to clients, aiming for work that needs few client revisions.
  • Give, receive and act on creative feedback.
  • Take part in new business development.

Requirements

  • A diploma in a relevant discipline.
  • Seven years of experience in an advertising agency.
  • Experience with consumer brands.
  • A natural flair for generating creative ideas.
  • Excellent editing, proofreading and writing skills, with a command of language.
  • A clear understanding of how communication works and how to use it well.
  • The ability to give, receive and apply creative feedback.
  • Confident, enthusiastic presenting, driven by innovation and creativity.
  • An outgoing, approachable style and a good team player.
  • Comfort working at a fast pace.
  • Curiosity, collaboration and professionalism.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Apple Keynote.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Healthcare agency experience is an asset but not required.

Conditions

Base salary range: $65,000 - $115,000 CAD at the time of posting.

Pay varies with location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience and qualifications.

The role is hybrid, with required days in the office.

If you need accommodations or more flexibility, raise it with the hiring team during the interview process.

The company is an equal opportunity employer that considers all applicants without discrimination and works to build a respectful culture where everyone can progress.

Be wary of recruitment fraud: the company never interviews over instant messaging or asks for bank, card or any other payment details during hiring, and legitimate messages come from an official company email address. Report any suspicious activity right away.

Benefits

  • Challenging work on complex problems, where your best ideas are welcome.
  • A close, sociable team that values each person's contribution.
  • Access to the parent group's global People community and the chance to contribute to wider strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Competitive compensation package.
  • Group insurance program from day one.
  • Vacation based on experience.
  • Paid Christmas shutdown.
  • Extended long weekends around statutory holidays, giving extra days off each year.
  • Work-life balance measures.
