This senior technical role covers engineering, architecture, integration, automation and operational support for DoD enterprise and tactical networks, including the secure network and data center infrastructure they depend on.
You will be the subject matter expert for designing, building, fixing, maintaining and tuning network and systems infrastructure for TS/SCI environments and forward-deployed tactical units. You will work independently on hard infrastructure and encryption faults, build repeatable fixes, and follow DoD change control, cybersecurity, configuration management and technical order rules.
The company provides global logistics, facilities management, and professional and technical services to U.S. and international government agencies and organizations.
Responsibilities
Carry out senior engineering, architecture, integration, implementation and troubleshooting across DoD enterprise and tactical environments.
Design, set up, connect, maintain and tune network infrastructure for classified and tactical systems that must stay available.
Administer and engineer Windows and/or Linux servers, virtualization platforms, enterprise storage and data center systems hands-on.
Support TS/SCI systems while meeting DoD cybersecurity, configuration management, change control and operational security rules.
Build and review technical changes through change control and configuration management, keeping baselines and documents accurate.
Apply DevOps and CI/CD methods to make deployments more repeatable, standard, automated and reliable.
Write and run automation workflows that reduce manual configuration work.
Analyze topology, isolate faults, study performance and find root causes across complex networks.
Review network and server logs for anomalies, misconfigurations, slowdowns, security issues and outages.
Keep technical documents current, including configuration records, troubleshooting steps, implementation plans and technical orders.
Work with cybersecurity staff, administrators, network engineers, tactical operators, program leads, vendors and other technical stakeholders to resolve complex operational problems.
Regularly use and administer these platforms: Nautobot for IP address management, network source of truth and device management; AWX for administration, configuration automation, orchestration and repeatable deployments; Active Directory for authentication, authorization, account administration and directory services; Forward Networks for topology visualization, path analysis, verification and fault isolation; Splunk for network and server logging, event analysis and monitoring; ServiceNow for incidents, tickets, change tracking, workflows and technical order tracking; GemOne and Chimera for secure network and encryption device management and troubleshooting.
