Systems Engineer (Top Secret/SCI with agreement to obtain CI Poly Clearance Required)

Description

The role is for a Systems Engineer with Linux system administration experience, supporting cloud and on-premise systems in a mission operations environment.

You will install, configure, administer, support and maintain mission-critical systems in both cloud and on-premise settings, helping to run and sustain a geospatial intelligence solution used by government end users.

The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to obtain a CI polygraph after hire.

The company builds long-term projects with current technology for government customers.

Responsibilities

• You will lead changes and improvements to the systems.
• You will work with government and contractor points of contact to troubleshoot issues and suggest configuration changes that improve performance.
• You will regularly work with stakeholders to keep the systems compliant with security requirements.
• You will write and update operational and security documentation, including troubleshooting guides and standard operating procedures.
• You will handle day-to-day sustainment of mission-critical infrastructure.

Requirements

• Linux system administration experience, including provisioning end users.
• Experience managing and configuring Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
• Experience building, tuning and maintaining multi-node environments that run parallel workloads.
• Experience administering Linux clusters with Slurm and MPI for High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems.
• Experience reviewing STIG and IAVA scan results and fixing the vulnerabilities they find.
• Experience performing virtual machine backups and snapshots.
• Experience supporting Information System Contingency Plan (ISCP) exercises with security teams.
• Scripting skills for administration, configuration, troubleshooting and automation.
• Knowledge of systems architecture, software development and software sustainment practices.
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent additional experience.
• An active TS/SCI clearance. You must be willing to obtain and keep a CI polygraph after hire.
• A DoD 8570 compliant certification, such as Security+ or equivalent or higher.
• Preferred: Red Hat certification(s).
• Preferred: Linux certification(s).
• Preferred: Agile certification(s).
• Preferred: experience administering team collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Preferred: experience with NGA networking environments.
