Senior Business Analyst - Oracle CPQ

The company builds and connects technologies that help protect people, property and places, with a focus on communication and security systems for public safety agencies and enterprises.

The team is expanding its digital offerings and is looking for a senior analyst to help shape the next version of its Oracle Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) platform.

You will act as a consultant to the Sales and Product teams, finding ways to simplify workflows, strengthen the user voice in planning, and keep the Oracle CPQ platform efficient and scalable.

The role bridges business goals and technical delivery so sellers get a smooth configure-price-quote experience.

Chicago candidates are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Map current and future processes to find gaps in the seller experience and design streamlined end-to-end workflows.
• Run discovery sessions with stakeholders to collect, analyze and document functional requirements, user stories and technical specifications.
• Bring user feedback into the CPQ roadmap so that high-impact features that improve sales efficiency are prioritized.
• Help define workflows for product configuration, pricing rules, guided selling and approvals within Oracle CPQ Cloud.
• Work with UI/UX and IT development teams to improve the interface so the quoting tool is intuitive and current in design.
• Act as the main contact between Sales and IT to confirm technical solutions meet business KPIs.
• Lead user acceptance testing, write detailed test plans and confirm delivered solutions meet all functional and performance requirements.
• Drive adoption by writing training materials and giving functional support to end users.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of professional IT work experience.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or a related field.
• Solid understanding of the lead-to-cash (LTC) lifecycle and sales technology best practices.
• Ability to explain complex technical topics in clear business terms to stakeholders at every level.
• Experience using data and user feedback to keep improving a platform.
• Working knowledge of Agile and Scrum methods and tools such as Jira.
• Preferred: Oracle CPQ Cloud Certified Professional certification.

Conditions

Target base salary range is $140,000 to $150,000 USD. Actual pay depends on job-related knowledge, skills and experience, and the offer is based on the individual candidate.

Hybrid work model.

Travel is under 10%.

Candidates must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
