Senior Business Analyst (Payments/Insurance)

Description

You will pin down what clients need, study how their processes work, and recommend solutions that support their strategic goals. You also act as the link between clients and engineering, keeping project aims clear on both sides.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with client stakeholders by developing a solid grasp of their business area and advising them.
• Collect and analyse business requirements.
• Recommend solutions based on client needs, their environment and current industry trends.
• Keep the product backlog current, writing user stories and acceptance criteria from the product vision and epics.
• Work closely with the engineering team to make sure stories are built in line with the product vision and timelines.
• Explain the market reasoning behind each requirement so developers deliver it in line with global business goals and feature details.
• Follow industry trends in application design and propose new ideas for client processes and the product.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience.
• Experience as a product owner, business analyst, or both, in Agile settings, defining requirements and writing user stories.
• Proven domain knowledge in insurance and payments.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to turn business needs into written solution requirements that engineering teams can align behind.
• Knowledge of software development planning techniques, including Agile Scrum.
• Thorough understanding of standard business analysis methods, processes, artifacts and tools.
• Strong analytical skills, a systematic approach, and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to measure and report on how effective product iterations are.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to spot process inefficiencies and areas to improve across diverse markets.
• Strong project management skills to handle several tasks at once and meet deadlines across time zones.
• Collaborative, with strong interpersonal skills that build teamwork and relationships across cultures.
• Adaptable and proactive, open to new technologies and approaches that drive innovation and efficiency.
