This is a hybrid role in Newark, NJ for a Senior Business Systems Analyst who drives the annual delivery of projects on the IT and services roadmap, covering both business analysis and project coordination.

The work involves close contact with U.S.-based business users, technology partners, QA, vendors and cross-functional delivery teams, with the aim of keeping projects within agreed scope, schedule and cost.

The role may include researching alternative solutions and recommending the most efficient and cost-effective option for a business need.

The company is the diversified asset management arm of Prudential Financial, Inc., with $1.5 trillion in assets under management and 38 offices across 16 countries.

Responsibilities

  • Build and keep strong working relationships with Private Credit investment teams, centralized credit and capital markets teams, and the operations and finance teams they rely on.

  • Review current and future processes, data flows, integrations, reports and operational effects to make sure solutions are complete, scalable and fit Private Credit needs.
  • Plan and support UAT by writing test scenarios, coordinating business sign-off, tracking defects and confirming requirements are met before release.
  • Keep end-to-end traceability from business requirements through user stories, acceptance criteria, test results, defects and delivery outcomes.
  • Learn how Private Credit and the company run their business so you can build or integrate new systems and improve existing processes.
  • Create project plans, manage timelines, track dependencies and follow up with stakeholders to keep schedules on track.
  • Explain complex issues clearly, escalate risks and blockers, and prepare short updates for business and technology leaders.
  • Take on other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of IT experience in business analysis and project coordination, with most of that time spent analysing requirements and owning their delivery independently.
  • Experience with Agile delivery, including user stories, acceptance criteria, backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, testing coordination and release readiness.
  • Experience using Jira or a similar tool to manage requirements, backlog items, defects, dependencies, delivery status and traceability.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, computer science or a related field.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including working with large data sets.
  • Ability to manage several priorities at once.
  • Ability to build relationships with U.S.-based stakeholders, business users, delivery teams, technology partners, vendors and systems partners.
  • Ability to work on your own, follow up with stakeholders and coordinate delivery with little guidance.
  • Strong attention to detail, with good listening skills and the ability to ask questions and go to the right level of detail.
  • Strong written and spoken communication, including summarising complex issues and preparing short updates for leadership.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Ability to raise risks, blockers, assumptions and dependencies early and professionally.
  • Strong team player who is comfortable giving opinions and suggesting process improvements.
