Description

The role supports the third party logistics (3PL) service the company runs in Europe through its Alloga business.

The 3PL division serves pharmaceutical and healthcare clients with complex supply chains that call for strict compliance, accuracy and fresh thinking.

The division is speeding up its digital change, bringing AI, automation and data-led decisions into every part of its 3PL operations.

This is not a standard business analyst job. You will work between logistics operations, technology and AI, mainly on order management, finance operations and customer service, all built around an ERP system.

You will look for ways to use AI, robotic process automation (RPA), predictive analytics and similar digital tools to change how 3PL services are delivered to clients.

You will turn complex business needs into workable solutions, help build business cases and push for outcomes that can be measured.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, record and check business requirements using a mix of methods and AI tools.
  • Turn requirements into user stories, functional specifications and data models that Agile teams can build from.
  • Run gap and root cause analysis to find inefficiencies and suggest fixes.
  • Set KPIs, success measures and frameworks that track the benefits of every initiative.
  • Act as the main contact for the 3PL operations teams' Business Process Owners on transformation work.
  • Brief senior leaders on findings, business cases and options, clearly and confidently.
  • Support change work, including training, communications and tracking adoption, so changes last.
  • Run cross-functional workshops, sprint reviews and steering committee meetings.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI and Tableau that give operations and leaders useful insight.
  • Work with data engineering teams to set data needs for AI and ML model development.
  • Promote a data-driven way of working across the 3PL business.
  • Find, assess and advocate for AI, ML and automation opportunities across the programme of work.
  • Work with internal teams to define needs, design AI-supported workflows and oversee proof-of-concept (PoC) delivery.
  • Keep up with technology such as LLMs, generative AI, computer vision, digital twins and process mining, and judge how each fits the programmes.
  • Encourage use of low-code and no-code platforms, such as Power Apps and Power Automate, so operational teams can build their own tools.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of digital innovation ideas, including those from vendors and other third-party suppliers, ranked by business impact and feasibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Data Science or a related discipline.
  • Lean principles certification.
  • Extensive experience being part of a team that builds and rolls out new technology and operating models across warehouse and transport operations.
  • Hands-on experience with Manhattan Active WMS and Microsoft Dynamics WMS.
  • Operational experience in a logistics setting, preferably 3PL.
  • Experience in a regulated setting, preferably pharmaceutical.
  • Proven record of identifying and delivering AI, automation or digital transformation work in an operational setting.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum and tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps and Confluence.
  • You see the bigger picture and connect emerging technology to business value.
  • You work with data, pay close attention to detail and solve problems methodically.
  • You explain ideas clearly, build agreement and get people to act.
  • You handle ambiguity well, welcome change and iterate quickly.
  • You work well across functions, levels and locations.
  • You focus on delivering outcomes that can be measured.
