Description

The company is a digital insurance provider in the UK that insures over four million customers and aims to grow into the largest and best in the market.

It has invested heavily in pricing and data over recent years, and its Pricing, Data and Analytics team values curiosity, collaboration and constructive challenge.

Pricing is treated as a strategic capability, built on deep risk insight and continual improvement in how risk is assessed, segmented and priced.

Application deadline: 22/11/2026.

Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate, timely and insightful analysis, reports and dashboards that inform underwriting decisions on portfolio performance, profitability, risk and customer outcomes.
  • Track key performance indicators and profit drivers, spotting trends, risks, opportunities and new areas of focus.
  • Dig into the reasons behind the numbers and turn your findings into clear, actionable insight.
  • Build, maintain and improve Power BI dashboards and recurring reports, simplifying and automating them where it makes sense so they stay relevant, reliable and easy to use.
  • Write clean, well-documented SQL and analytical code with reproducible logic and proper validation.
  • Reconcile data sources and look into discrepancies to keep performance figures consistent and trustworthy.
  • Work with stakeholders to pin down requirements and turn business questions into analytical solutions.
  • Present complex information clearly and engagingly using effective visualisation and storytelling.
  • Apply AI and automation responsibly where they improve the quality, speed or accessibility of analysis, with review and validation in place.
  • Help improve data quality, reporting processes, analytical methods and team standards.
  • Own your tasks and deliverables, working autonomously while keeping priorities aligned with team and department objectives.
  • Work alongside analysts, data engineers, BI specialists and business stakeholders to get results.

Requirements

  • Experience producing analysis, management information, reporting or business intelligence outputs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the curiosity to question assumptions and find out why results have shifted.
  • Experience writing SQL and working with structured data.
  • Experience with a BI or data visualisation tool; Power BI is preferred.
  • Ability to plan and structure analysis, validate your outputs and deliver reliable work on your own, asking for input when risks, assumptions or priorities need clarifying.
  • Understanding of business KPIs and how analytical measures connect to commercial or customer outcomes.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including explaining technical or complex findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Sound judgement about when to work alone, when to collaborate and when to escalate risks or uncertainties.
  • An interest in using AI responsibly to improve analytical work. Practical experience is useful but not required.
