Description

The team uses data, AI and automation to help the business see what comes next, not just report what happened.

The role blends data engineering, analytics and applied AI, and goes beyond reporting and dashboards.

You will work closely with stakeholders on real problems and measurable results.

The company is part of Booking Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: BKNG), serves millions of diners and 70,000+ restaurant partners, and has 25+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain reliable data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes and data models that support analytics and operations.
  • Apply modern AI technologies and APIs to build intelligent workflows and automate processes that solve real business problems.
  • Create analytical tools, reporting solutions and automated systems that improve decisions, efficiency and business performance.
  • Work with technical and non-technical colleagues to gather requirements, understand challenges and turn business needs into technical solutions.
  • Lead projects from discovery and design through development, deployment and optimisation, keeping solutions scalable, reliable and maintainable.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Python and SQL, including building data pipelines, integrations and automated workflows.
  • Proficiency with Snowflake or a similar cloud data warehouse, plus data modelling, ETL/ELT and orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
  • Experience integrating AI APIs, large language models (LLMs) or AI-powered technologies into business applications and workflows.
  • Proven ability to gather requirements, challenge assumptions and explain complex technical ideas clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently through ambiguity, set priorities and deliver reliable, commercially valuable solutions.
  • Nice to have: experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, vector databases or AI agent workflows.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with AWS, GCP or Azure.
  • Nice to have: experience with analytics engineering tools such as dbt, plus Git, CI/CD or modern software development practices.
  • Nice to have: previous experience in a technology-led marketplace, SaaS, hospitality, travel or e-commerce environment.
  • Nice to have: a track record of delivering AI, data or automation work that produced measurable operational improvements.

Conditions

Hybrid model: you are expected in the office two days a week.

Schedule covers multiple time zones; you may need to handle calls, Slack messages or emails outside regular hours to work with international colleagues, restaurant partners or urgent issues, always in line with local laws.

Reasonable adjustments are available during the application, interview and on the job; ask your recruiter.

Benefits

  • 5 weeks paid vacation and time off for your birthday.
  • Work from (almost) anywhere for up to 20 days per year.
  • Private health and dental insurance, income protection, life assurance and an Employee Assistance Program with 24/7 GP access and free legal advice.
  • Company-paid therapy sessions through SpringHealth and a company-paid Headspace subscription.
  • Company-wide week off each year, paid parental leave and paid volunteer time.
  • Development Dollars, leadership development and access to thousands of on-demand e-learnings.
  • Travel discounts, Employee Resource Groups, pension plan contributions, discounted gym membership, Bike2Work and season ticket loan.
  • Social events, Thursday happy hours and free lunch two days per week.
