Senior AI/AML Engineer, Vice President

Description

The company's Wealth division is hiring a senior engineer who will work hands-on to build enterprise-grade generative AI and agent-based solutions, including the design, build and scaling of large language model systems on modern agent frameworks such as ADK (Agent Development Kit), with controls for risk, governance and regulatory compliance built in.

You will combine deep AI engineering skill with a working grasp of financial services, anti-money laundering work and enterprise controls, and you will work closely with Technology, Product, Risk and Compliance colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Build LLM-based applications and agent systems with frameworks such as LangChain and ADK (Agent Development Kit)
• Set up and run multi-agent orchestration, tool chaining and workflow automation
• Write input and output validation guardrails that keep AI behaviour safe and compliant
• Connect AI solutions to enterprise APIs, data platforms and internal systems
• Design real-time and asynchronous AI pipelines using REST APIs, streaming and WebSockets
• Work with Risk, Compliance and Model Governance teams on MRM validation and sign-off
• Own AI solutions from first concept through to production release
• Lead and mentor engineers on the team
• Create shared standards and reusable frameworks for AI engineering
• Keep AI systems observable, monitored and performing well

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in AI or ML engineering and at least 6 years of overall engineering experience
• Strong Python skills and backend development experience
• Hands-on use of ADK (Agent Development Kit) to build and orchestrate agents
• Hands-on use of LangChain or a similar LLM framework
• Hands-on work with LLM and GenAI systems, including RAG, agents and tool chaining
• A track record of shipping production-grade systems in enterprise settings
• A solid understanding of API integration, distributed systems and microservices architecture
• Experience in regulated industries, with financial services preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• Preferred: experience building multi-agent systems with ADK or a similar framework
• Preferred: familiarity with LLM platforms such as Gemini, OpenAI or Vertex AI
• Preferred: knowledge of AML systems, financial crime detection or compliance workflows
• Preferred: experience with AI guardrails, evaluation frameworks and observability tools
• Preferred: exposure to real-time AI systems such as voice, streaming or event-driven architectures
• Preferred: experience with GCP, AWS or Azure cloud platforms

Conditions

Full-time role based in Jersey City, New Jersey, United States

Base salary range is $142,320.00 to $213,480.00
