System Engineer

Responsibilities

• Solve complex technical problems with a systems view, seeing how systems, people and processes interact to support the mission.

Requirements

• Required: Active TS/SCI clearance with a CI Polygraph, or the ability and eligibility to obtain a CI Polygraph.
• Required: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Required: Ability to work on site at the company's facilities in Sterling, VA; Sarasota, FL; or Denver, CO.
• Required: At least 3 years in systems engineering, software engineering, systems integration, solution architecture or closely related technical work.
• Required: At least 1 year working with mission management applications or enterprise data integration.
• Required: Track record of resolving complex technical and operational problems.
• Required: Hands-on experience integrating software applications, enterprise systems, APIs, databases and distributed technologies.
• Required: Familiarity with system testing and automated application test frameworks.
• Required: Solid grasp of systems engineering principles and the system development lifecycle.
• Required: Experience building or implementing automation to improve operational efficiency.
• Required: Strong technical writing, including architecture documents, interface control documents, system diagrams, procedures and engineering artifacts.
• Required: Clear communication and collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Required: Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities while staying aligned with strategy.
• Required: Capacity to set your own priorities, manage several projects and deliver in fast-moving environments.
• Required: Experience with Agile methods and Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence.
• Desired: Experience supporting Intelligence Community or Department of War organizations.
• Desired: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Desired: Knowledge of PowerShell, JavaScript, Java or similar programming and scripting languages.
• Desired: Experience with REST APIs, microservices, message queues and distributed system architectures.
• Desired: Understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering, enterprise architecture or digital engineering practices.
• Desired: Experience with AI-enabled decision support, advanced analytics or data engineering solutions.
• Desired: Security+ or other relevant technical certifications.

Conditions

Final salary depends on several factors, including geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant prior experience, specific skills, education and certifications.

The role can be performed from more than one location, so the stated range is the national average for the position.

Proposed salary range: $69,100-$141,500.
