The company builds autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software and space-based interceptors so the U.S. and its Allies can secure the space environment against threats.
Space is treated as a warfighting domain, and the team wants people who will build the technology that protects it.
You will keep the company's Siemens Teamcenter PLM system running, scalable and secure, and keep its links to ECAD, mechanical CAD, ERP, manufacturing operations, AI-assisted engineering tools and developer platforms working across the digital thread.
The role is hands-on. You will combine administration, architecture, custom ITK development, integration support and production delivery, making architecture calls, merging environments, running upgrades, writing production code, designing integrations and deploying templates alongside engineering, manufacturing, IT, operations and cybersecurity teams.
Responsibilities
Set the Teamcenter architecture, covering deployment, security, data model, modules, environments, configuration, upgrade approach, templates and lifecycle governance.
Build and test server-side ITK code, including utilities, workflow handlers, BOM logic, queries, batch jobs and integrations.
Create Teamcenter customizations such as BMIDE extensions, workflows, business rules, forms, preferences, services, SOA and REST APIs, and Active Workspace extensions.
Maintain data models, object types, attributes, relations, configurations and lifecycle processes that fit cross-functional product development.
Build and support integrations between Teamcenter and E3 (Epsilon3), NetSuite, Altium, NX, AI-assisted engineering tools and internal developer platforms.
Develop CAD and ECAD-to-PLM processes covering product structures, metadata sync, change management and configuration control.
Define data mappings, authentication, error handling, reconciliation, monitoring and support models for integrations.
Explore and deliver AI-assisted workflows such as intelligent part search, automatic classification, generative design, design recommendations, anomaly detection and natural-language access to PLM data.
Make architecture decisions quickly when requirements are unclear, record the trade-offs, set development standards and ensure code is production-ready.
Lead production support, root-cause analysis, troubleshooting and fixes using source control, code review, automated testing, CI/CD and monitoring.
Work with stakeholders, systems integrators, vendors and technology partners to clarify needs, assess tools and deliver solutions.
Mentor developers, administrators and solution architects, and find ways to simplify the ecosystem and improve developer experience.
Requirements
At least 8 years designing, building and supporting enterprise PLM or Teamcenter systems in complex engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, defense or high-tech settings.
Solid hands-on Teamcenter ITK development, including server-side customization, workflow handlers, utilities, queries, product structure logic and integrations.
Expert knowledge of Teamcenter administration and architecture: SSO, BMIDE, data modeling, workflows, security, configuration and lifecycle management.
Experience with the Teamcenter Admin and Architect workspaces, and the ability to diagnose platform and customization problems on your own.
Proven record of designing cross-functional integrations that link PLM with ERP, manufacturing operations, ECAD or other enterprise systems.
Strong integration architecture skills: APIs, middleware, SOA, REST, web services, event-driven patterns, authentication and error handling.
CAD/PLM integration experience with NX, and ECAD/PLM integration with Altium or a comparable tool.
Strong knowledge of C/C++, Java, JavaScript and Python, plus working proficiency in SQL, XML, JSON, version control, testing, CI/CD and production support.
Deep understanding of EBOM and MBOM, product structures, item and revision management, datasets, configurations, effectivity and engineering change management (ECR, ECO, ECN).
Systems thinking across how PLM, ERP, CAD, ECAD, manufacturing and operations systems interact over the product lifecycle.
Decisive, practical and delivery-focused, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical people.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Multidisciplinary Engineering or a related technical field. Equivalent experience is accepted for candidates with a proven record in PLM architecture and delivery.
Preferred: experience with E3 (Epsilon3), NetSuite ERP, Altium, Siemens NX, Active Integration Gateway (AIG) or EDA Gateway.
Preferred: experience with Siemens AI products, AI-assisted engineering or PLM use cases, MCP server integration or intelligent automation.
Preferred: experience with cloud platforms, containers, API management, message queues, observability platforms or modern integration architectures.
Preferred: background in aerospace, defense, space or regulated manufacturing.
Preferred: Siemens Teamcenter certification, Technical Practitioner training, Genesis, Inceptor or other formal Teamcenter training.
Preferred: experience with Agile, configuration management, developer platforms or enterprise software deployments.
