Medior Backend Software Engineer

Codebeamer is the company's Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) platform, used by technology and manufacturing companies worldwide to speed up product development and ship complex, high-quality products.

You will join a distributed Agile engineering team that builds and evolves an enterprise-scale web application.

As a Software Engineer, you will build and maintain product features on the Codebeamer platform, working closely with Product Management, QA, UX and other engineers while deepening your technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test and maintain software in an Agile setting.
• Develop and improve product features across the whole software development lifecycle.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver value to customers.
• Write code that is clean, easy to maintain and able to scale.
• Find, debug and fix software defects.
• Help build out automated testing and CI/CD practices.
• Share what you know and help the team learn and improve.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with Java and object-oriented design.
• Experience with Spring Framework or Spring Boot.
• Experience building web-based applications.
• Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience using Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with modern web technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript and Angular is preferred.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and automated testing is preferred.
• Experience improving application performance and scalability is preferred.
