Description

Senior Manager level role on the Customer Transformation team in Pōneke / Wellington.

You will create scalable Salesforce solutions that deliver measurable business value, acting as a technical lead in a close-knit team.

The work spans many industries and uses current Salesforce technology on end-to-end transformation projects that involve AI and new ideas.

You will engage directly with clients and senior stakeholders to solve difficult problems and build high-impact digital experiences, alongside functional consultants, architects and developers.

Responsibilities

  • Work with senior stakeholders through the full project lifecycle so technical solutions support strategic goals.
  • Design, build and deploy scalable architectures across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Experience Cloud.
  • Build custom functionality with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce and Salesforce APIs.
  • Connect Salesforce with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs and middleware.
  • Turn complex business needs into practical technical designs with solution architects, functional consultants and client teams.
  • Lead solution design reviews, code reviews, testing and deployments using DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Diagnose and fix technical issues, and improve platform performance, security and scalability.
  • Own technical governance and best practice across projects, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Use AI and emerging technology to speed up delivery, raise quality and add innovation.
  • Mentor and coach consultants and technical staff to build collaboration, learning and technical excellence.
  • Keep up with Salesforce capabilities, integration technology and digital transformation trends to bring new ideas to clients.

Requirements

  • More than 8 years delivering complex Salesforce technical solutions in consulting or enterprise settings.
  • Experience delivering in public sector environments, performing well under pressure, working independently and keeping projects moving.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce industry features, including Business Rules Engine, Data Processing Engine, Discovery Framework and Action Plans.
  • Expert skill in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce and Salesforce APIs.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and other key Salesforce products.
  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce integration patterns, APIs and middleware.
  • Proven skill in DevOps methods, version control and CI/CD pipeline setup.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI, automation and emerging technology to speed up delivery, improve customer experience and create client value.
  • Strong problem-solving, with a record of turning complex business challenges into scalable technical solutions.
  • Clear communication and stakeholder management, explaining complex technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
  • Interest in technology and ongoing learning, with a drive to deliver strong client outcomes.
  • Highly valued: experience with Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS).
  • Strongly preferred: certifications such as Platform Developer I/II, OmniStudio, Application Architect, Data Architect or System Architect.
