Description

You are the solution partner on a two-person deal team. A Client Partner handles the relationship and commercials, while you cover what the customer buys: discovery, design, demo, estimate and statement of work.

Target clients are broker dealers, wealth and asset managers, capital markets and alternatives firms, and fintech companies, usually with 250 to 2,000 staff. Many have already tried Salesforce two or three times, so they judge your experience within minutes. A strong first call is what earns the second.

The team values putting people first, sharing knowledge, openness and integrity, owning results, and building creative, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Join early scoping calls with a Client Partner and cover the solution side: ask business questions, match answers to the FSC data model live, and call out where standard functionality falls short before the customer discovers it later.
  • Lead discovery with COOs, heads of advisory and operations leads, translating their language so they never need to.
  • Build tailored demos from a shared demo org in a few days that follow the customer's own workflow, then discard them.
  • Be candid with customers about what the platform can and cannot do.
  • Turn SEC, FINRA, Reg BI, KYC, AML and GLBA obligations into practical design choices.
  • Produce levels of effort and SOWs that delivery can actually carry out. Accurate scoping is the central part of the role.
  • Advise on build versus buy for integrations with custodians, portfolio accounting, fund administration, core banking and loan origination systems.
  • Manage 10 to 15 pursuits at once.
  • Work alongside Salesforce account executives and sales engineers on joint deals.
  • In AI opportunities, assess whether the customer's data can support the work today, and schedule data preparation ahead of AI work when that is the honest answer.
  • Hand each closed deal to delivery with full knowledge transfer, and stay involved through kickoff.
  • Create reference architectures and demo assets the wider financial services team can reuse.

Requirements

  • Working fluency in FSC: households and relationship groups, financial account rollups, record types and the ARC.
  • Firsthand knowledge of where the data model strains, such as multi-entity firms, book-of-business transfers and slow rollups as volume grows.
  • A record of estimates that held, including SOWs a delivery team had to execute.
  • Discovery skill without slides: able to run a 45-minute COO conversation with questions and a whiteboard alone.
  • Working knowledge of at least one focus segment, such as custodian feeds, broker dealer supervision, or why an LP portal differs from a community template.
  • Solid Salesforce integration experience, including web service APIs and their limits.
  • Daily use of AI tools with a clear view on them, able to scope an Agentforce use case and say when the data is not ready.
  • Commercial banking or credit union experience: commercial lending, treasury and payments relationships, member 360 views and nCino.
  • NetSuite familiarity enough to spot a lead-to-cash or ERP replacement opportunity and involve the right people.
  • Exposure to DealCloud or another industry platform.
  • Scoping experience with Data Cloud, RCA or RCB, particularly usage-based pricing.
  • Middleware experience with MuleSoft, Workato, Jitterbit or Boomi.
  • Prior consulting or agency presales experience. Product-company SEs can move into this role, though the SOW skill is often the gap.
