Description

The company runs a Real-World Evidence (RWE) team that works fully inside a large pharmaceutical client's environment, and is adding people to it.

This is a senior data analyst role in the Data Science, Analytics, and Technology Solutions (DATS) group. You will lead dataset development and longitudinal analyses for observational studies in oncology, all within one client portfolio.

You will need prior work on observational research with EMR and claims data, ideally in safety analyses, plus strong statistical programming and experience running several studies and complex analyses at once. You will have access to real-world databases and will set the client's standards, best practices and methods for using real-world data (RWD).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the building of analysis datasets: process raw data and check and clean secondary sources such as claims, EHR and lab data. Experience with PharMetrics Plus, Flatiron or Tempus is required.
  • Lead feasibility work on real-world sources, including describing patient populations, building cohorts, and defining and validating key variables for each study objective.
  • Run and quality-check analyses, identify diagnosis and treatment codes, and apply statistical methods for censored data, confounding and missing data.
  • Work with epidemiologists to specify descriptive and complex statistics for oncology studies using RWD, including safety analyses, longitudinal analyses, survival analyses and regression models.
  • Build and QC TFLs for protocols, reports and manuscripts using RWD such as claims and EHR data.
  • Help write study documents, including protocols, statistical analysis plans and study reports.
  • Share timelines, progress updates and results with the project team and key stakeholders.
  • Offer technical, programming and statistical expertise, and bring your own solutions for complex studies to the team.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in biostatistics, epidemiology, data science or a related field with 5-8 years of relevant experience, or a PhD with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • A proven record analysing RWD from claims, EMR and lab sources. Experience with Tempus, Flatiron or PharMetrics Plus is preferred.
  • Experience with oncology data and safety outcomes is preferred.
  • Advanced skill in R programming.
  • Prior pharmaceutical experience and advanced knowledge of observational study design and analytic methods.
  • Strong analytic and communication skills, with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise several tasks and projects at once.

Conditions

The company is an equal-opportunity employer and takes integrity in hiring seriously, with zero tolerance for candidate fraud. Any false or misleading information in your application can lead to disqualification or later dismissal under applicable law.
