Description

You will be a senior QA engineer on the Systems Engineering team in Global Infrastructure & Operations, a fast-growing group that works with Agile, DevOps and test-driven development.

The company provides clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence to life sciences and healthcare organisations. It has offices in over 100 countries and is listed on the NYSE.

The team handles patient-level healthcare data for uses from retrospective clinical studies to disease progression modelling. It processes over a billion records at a time on multi-terabyte databases.

Team members work autonomously within self-organising teams. You will work alongside architects who design solutions and the development team.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain automated test suites for healthcare ETL pipelines and complex data workflows using Python, PySpark and Databricks.
  • Make sure platforms handling millions of medical records stay accurate, with a focus on business rule validation and data integrity.
  • Build ETL pipelines that acquire, process and load medical data into Databricks with PySpark.
  • Validate UI, REST APIs, SQL databases and Databricks tables so data stays consistent across every layer.
  • Automate ETL testing for bulk, delta and rebulk processing, contract-check workflows and QC report validation.
  • Verify calculated KPIs and metrics against source GDM and DPT data.
  • Write custom Python libraries and Robot keywords for ADLS, Databricks, data comparison and healthcare-specific checks.
  • Manage test data, including CSV and JSON fixtures, VM and ADLS file uploads, and environment settings held in Vault.
  • Add automated tests to Jenkins CI/CD.
  • Guide and mentor junior and mid-level engineers on technical direction.
  • Check dashboards for layout, visual consistency, loading states, filters, charts and KPI display so they are accurate and clear for clinical users.
  • Work with other QA engineers, the Product Owner, the ETL, MS and UI developers and the UX designer to agree requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, share coverage and fix defects across the data-to-dashboard chain.
  • Plan and run test coverage across UI, ETL and MS while several features, defects and releases run in parallel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science, mathematics or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of software testing experience.
  • Experience with Robot Framework or similar test automation tools.
  • Python at intermediate level and advanced SQL.
  • Java or Scala is beneficial.
  • Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage and Azure Databricks.
  • Git, with GitHub or GitLab workflows and branch management.
  • Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar pipeline tools.
  • Ability to design test cases for complex data workflows.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA.
  • Docker and basic container orchestration.
  • Ability to present complex results clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working with teams in Europe, with cross-cultural communication and remote delivery.
  • Strong team player.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong collaboration, written and verbal communication.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum.

Conditions

Annualized base pay range: zł160,200.00 to zł297,300.00. Actual pay depends on qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education and experience, plus location and schedule (full or part-time).

Incentive plans, bonuses or other compensation may be offered depending on the position, alongside health and welfare benefits.

Applications must be truthful and complete. False statements or omissions can lead to disqualification or, if found later, termination under applicable law.

Benefits

  • Quarterly work planning, with goals and progress reviewed every 90 days.
  • Technical training.
  • Opportunity to attend technical conferences within the country.
  • Favorable employment conditions and benefits.
