Description

You will manage medium to large multi-regional Connected Devices projects, stand-alone or full-service, across all clinical trial phases.

Success means the work meets the sponsor's satisfaction, is delivered on time and within budget, and follows company policy and procedure.

The company provides clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence to life sciences and healthcare organisations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, start, run, monitor and close projects against the agreed Scope of Work.
  • Act as the main contact for each sponsor, keeping communication open and reports on schedule.
  • Plan resources and support the team so the project stays staffed throughout its life cycle, escalating to senior management for advice when needed.
  • Lead the cross-functional Connected Devices teams on your assigned projects.
  • Track progress, identify and assess risks, and correct course where needed.
  • Manage project finances accurately so goals are met within scope and to customer expectations. Make sure revenue recognition and forecasts are correct, and carry out change orders where appropriate.
  • Check that deliverables meet quality standards, customer expectations and Connected Devices standard operating procedures.
  • Prepare and present project information in internal and external meetings.
  • Hold an end-of-project review to confirm all activities are fully complete.
  • Keep Connected Devices leadership informed of issues that could affect quality, budget or delivery timing, and request support to resolve them quickly.
  • Coach new and junior project managers.
  • Give line managers input on team members' performance on project tasks to support their career development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science or healthcare-related discipline.
  • 5 years of experience as a project manager in connected devices, preferably wearable devices.
  • An equivalent mix of education, training and experience may be accepted.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong ability to prioritise, schedule and organise.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, managers and clients.

Conditions

The company has zero tolerance for candidate fraud, so all application information and credentials must be truthful and complete, or the application may be disqualified or employment terminated if found later, in line with applicable law.
