Quality Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Check that projects meet the DO-178C and/or DO-278 objectives and the applicable development lifecycle processes.
• Review and track requirements definition, allocation and verification, with end-to-end traceability from design through testing.
• Keep requirements, system and software design, verification procedures and test results consistent and traceable to one another.
• Support verification and validation by reviewing test evidence and confirming that requirements coverage is adequate.
• Monitor engineering documents and lifecycle deliverables against the project's quality processes.
• Use Polarion to manage requirements, traceability matrices, verification status and related engineering artefacts.
• Identify process gaps, non-conformities and traceability issues, and support corrective actions and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in quality assurance, systems engineering or software development assurance.
• A degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong knowledge of DO-178C and/or DO-278 processes and objectives.
• Practical experience with Polarion for requirements management and traceability.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, verification and validation, and requirements-based testing.
• Experience in aerospace, avionics or other safety-critical environments is preferred.
• Strong problem solving and good communication skills.
• A goal-oriented, self-driven approach and a proactive attitude toward finding solutions.
• A good team player.
• Fluent Italian.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.
