Proposal Writer Part Time On Call

This is a part-time, on-call proposal writing role on a remote basis, open to candidates in any location. It sits in the Program Delivery and Execution job family, and no security clearance is needed.

Responsibilities

• Act as Volume Lead or Lead Writer for management sections of proposals valued from $100M to $1B+.
• Build technical and management volumes from scratch, drawing on hands-on experience in both.
• Work with subject matter experts and operations staff to gather the data needed for past performance write-ups.
• Write, edit, and revise proposal material, and check with technical and program staff that it is accurate.
• Break down RFP requirements and take part in color team reviews.
• Help capture managers and proposal managers shape win themes and identify discriminators, benefits, and key features of technical and management solutions across the enterprise.
• Coach and lead less experienced proposal writers.
• Contribute to ongoing quality improvement efforts.

Requirements

• Show personal initiative, proposal support skills, and strong writing.
• Bring 15+ years of related experience.
• Hold a Bachelor's Degree. Without one, 4+ additional years of work experience, training, education, or certifications will be considered.
• Have 15+ years of federal proposal writing for a government contractor, or equivalent technical experience.
• Have served as a Volume Lead, Book Boss, or Lead Management Writer.
• US citizenship is not required.

Conditions

Preferred: APMP certification and PMP certification.

The likely hourly rate is $63.75 to $86.25. This is not a guaranteed salary. Pay is set by experience, geographic location, and possibly contract terms, and may fall outside this range.

Scheduled at 8 hours per week. No travel is required. Work is remote, from any location.
