Description

The company builds mission solutions in cyber-related technologies and products, working on hard problems for the nation with engineering teams that have room to build new capabilities.

The company is part of a global technology and services firm with about 26,000 staff in 50+ countries, serving US government, defense and intelligence agencies.

This is a regular position in the software engineering job family, where the work is full stack subject matter expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Build user interfaces that command and control 802.11 collection and emission systems, presenting data and analysis clearly and efficiently.
  • Process 802.11 signals captured through different methods, in varied environments, with different antennas.
  • Reverse engineer newly released operating system kernels and update custom drivers so Wi-Fi radios and modems integrate properly.
  • Estimate, break down and build iterative tasks, automated tests and routine builds as part of a team.
  • Work in a tailored agile process, using GitLab for builds and merges.
  • Help write and run test procedures for software components.
  • Communicate clearly with engineers, stakeholders and customers.

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Bring 20+ years of related experience, including 20 years as a software engineer on programs and projects of similar scope, type and complexity.
  • Be a US citizen.
  • Hold an active Top Secret SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Show demonstrated capability in two or more of these areas: Linux application development in C/C++; user interfaces such as Flutter/Dart or QT, including UI architectures; Matlab and signal toolboxes; Linux kernel development adaptation; modem or radio driver development.
  • Show demonstrated capability in two or more of these enablers: 802.11 protocol familiarity; integrating internally developed server and UI components with COTS/GOTS applications; packet processing for software defined radio demodulation and decoding; AI-assisted development; system design verification, troubleshooting and debugging, with a thorough test methodology.
  • Be familiar with AI integration in development.
  • Have skills in full stack development, user interfaces and Wi-Fi technology.
  • Be familiar with Wi-Fi, wireless, RF and networking basics.

Conditions

The role is onsite in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, USA, for 40 hours per week, with no travel required.

No public trust or other clearance is required beyond the Top Secret SCI with polygraph level, and the same level must be obtainable.

The likely salary range is $212,500 to $287,500. This is not a guarantee, as pay depends on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements, and may fall outside this range.

As part of hiring, you will complete an identity verification process using biometrics and AI, and you must be on camera for virtual interviews.

The company is an equal opportunity employer that welcomes individuals with disabilities and protected veterans.

Benefits

  • Medical plan options, some with Health Savings Accounts, plus dental and vision plans.
  • A 401(k) with company match, where you can contribute pre- and post-tax up to IRS annual limits.
  • Paid time off including vacation, sick and personal time, holidays, paid parental, military, bereavement and jury duty leave.
  • Full flex work weeks where possible.
  • Short and long-term disability, life, accidental death and dismemberment, personal accident, critical illness and business travel accident insurance, provided or available.
  • Competitive pay.
