Project Manager

Description

The company delivers complex, mission-critical HVAC solutions for global customers, including data centre and high-tech clients. It is part of a larger global group.

This is a project manager role within the company's project delivery work.

Responsibilities

• You own delivery of each project from post-sales handover through commissioning to final client handover, including quality, schedule, cost, margin and customer satisfaction.
• You lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across design, engineering, manufacturing, production, procurement, QA/QC, mission critical and site work.
• You are accountable for project budgets, cost control and gross margin.
• You build project pricing and execution plans that set out scope, assumptions, inclusions and exclusions, timelines, risks and cost limits.
• You support Client Account Management before a sale by helping with project costing, risk assessment and execution planning.
• You create and maintain detailed schedules covering milestones, sequencing and dependencies, and track planned against actual delivery.
• You work with Engineering and Operations to improve how projects are run, focusing on efficiency, quality and standardisation.
• You help roll out and adopt Autodesk Construction Cloud and other digital delivery tools, improving processes and ways of working.
• You stay in daily contact with site teams so risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies and mitigation actions stay visible.
• You set clear expectations on safety, risk management, reporting and training, working with Health & Safety to deliver projects safely.
• You manage, coach and develop Project Engineers as needed, building a collaborative and accountable team.
• You work with other Project Managers and senior stakeholders to keep delivery aligned with business strategy and operational priorities.

Requirements

• These requirements are all essential.
• You have a track record of delivering complex projects in commercial, data centre, high-tech, healthcare, manufacturing or similar settings.
• You have at least 10 years of experience managing high-value projects in construction, M&E, civil or comparable technical industries.
• You have led multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors to deliver projects on time, within budget and to a high standard.
• You understand commercial matters well, including costs, margins, scope and risk.
• You can manage several projects and competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• You are strong at stakeholder management, communication and making decisions.
