Description

The company's transportation team is recruiting a Senior Project Manager to work from its Dublin office in Ireland.

You will lead rail infrastructure and rail projects in Ireland or the UK, working with clients including Transport Infrastructure Ireland, Iarnród Éireann and Translink.

The role centres on managing and delivering capital investment projects within agreed budgets and schedules, and on pursuing and developing work to deliver client programmes.

You will give client-side project management support across every stage, from feasibility through detailed design and construction, often within large, geographically spread multidisciplinary design teams.

The team provides technical leadership from feasibility and preliminary design through to detailed design.

The company is a leading integrated design consultancy across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, serving public and private sector clients on schemes ranging from large regeneration projects to local community initiatives.

It has offices in Dublin, Belfast, Cork, Galway, Limerick and Derry/Londonderry, more than 600 staff in Ireland, and over 87,000 colleagues worldwide, and has delivered some of Ireland's largest hospitals and complex infrastructure schemes.

The company is a Fortune 500 firm and its professional services business reported revenue of $16.1 billion in fiscal year 2025. Its 50,000 plus professionals plan, design, engineer and manage programmes across transportation, buildings, water, new energy and the environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of multidisciplinary engineers to produce integrated designs, and build working relationships with the company's technical teams and client-side project managers, covering stakeholders, schedule and contracts.
  • Advise the design team on technical matters across all aspects of multidisciplinary projects, from concept through to implementation.
  • Run the quality management processes for project activities and outputs.
  • Act as a visible leader and trusted adviser to clients, promoting the company's values inside and outside the business.
  • Work through the difficulties of transportation projects alongside clients, solving problems together as they arise.

Requirements

  • Hold a relevant built environment degree.
  • Have led and delivered rail infrastructure or rail projects in Ireland or the UK.
  • Have experience delivering projects for Transport Infrastructure Ireland, Iarnród Éireann and Translink.
  • Be familiar with working under the NEC suite of contracts.
  • Have a proven record of scoping and estimating projects.
  • Have a proven record of delivering and managing rail projects worth more than 30 million Euros.

Conditions

The role is based in the Dublin office.

Hybrid working is available, from a company office, at home or on a client site.

All new hires must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at a company office as a condition of employment.
