Project Manager - Data Center Construction

Description

The company has spent more than 75 years delivering programmes across real estate, infrastructure and natural resources.

This is a Project Manager role on large-scale data center construction projects, with client service at the centre of the work.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate architects, engineers and supply chain partners so that projects meet compliance requirements.
• Track critical milestones and flag any activity at risk of slipping.
• Confirm that project governance, processes and systems are followed.
• Apply best practice on every project.
• Write formal project status reports and any other reports required.
• Monitor progress on several construction projects at once and check that approved design standards are applied correctly.
• Oversee the interface between all suppliers through monthly trackers and weekly reviews.
• Keep project information moving between the team through regular meetings and written updates.
• Forecast and update key milestones and budget.
• Manage and monitor local design teams against commission criteria.
• Give technical support to owners, architects, general contractors and regional stakeholders.
• Respond quickly to requests for information from the field.
• Advise on cost control, value engineering and constructability where needed.
• Independently review status reports, drawing submittals, timelines and costs from architects, contractors and suppliers.
• Help build strong client relationships and spot new business opportunities.
• Advise project teams on approaches that meet both client and company objectives.
• Capture key information and lessons learned from each project.
• Find ways to improve internal systems and processes.
• You may take on SOX control duties, which must be followed where they apply.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or a related construction field.
• Strong organizational and management skills, with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively across the broader team.
• Effective presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore and other construction project management tools.
• Strong communication skills.
