Description

The company is hiring an experienced product security engineer for integration work. The role is listed in Berkeley, MO, and the positions are based in St. Louis, MO.

You would join the anti-tamper engineering center, which protects the critical computers in every defense product the company builds. Rather than working on one product for one customer, you contribute across the full defense portfolio.

The focus is design, integration and test. Integration engineers work with customers to set system requirements and architectures, oversee new designs, and stay involved through final testing, verification and fielding.

The team is growing so that new protection solutions can reach all company-built and supplier-built products, spanning both hardware and software.

Responsibilities

  • Support development programs, research work and strategic initiatives in product security and anti-tamper.
  • Write requirements, documentation, test plans and test procedures, and take part in verification for anti-tamper efforts.
  • Partner with platform chief engineers, chief architects and team leads to set platform architectures and implementations that let advanced tactical capabilities be fielded and sold.
  • Lead a small team of integration engineers across several of the company's programs, making sure anti-tamper best practices and shared solutions are applied.

Requirements

  • Required: a bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing technology), computer science, data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry, or a non-US equivalent directly related to the work.
  • Required: 6 or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent mix of technical education and experience, or non-US equivalent qualifications.
  • Required: 1 year of experience designing, developing and integrating complex electronic systems or subsystems.
  • Required: 1 year of experience leading teams.
  • Preferred: experience in anti-tamper or product security.
  • Preferred: experience with military or defense customers.
  • Preferred: experience in requirements analysis.
  • Preferred: experience or interest in cryptography, secure communications protocols and reverse engineering at the system and component level.
  • Preferred: experience or interest in commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) FPGAs and COTS security features.
  • Preferred: an active US Secret clearance.

Conditions

This role is 100% onsite and works first shift (shift 1, United States).

Relocation is offered based on candidate eligibility.

Selected candidates must pass the company's conflict of interest (COI) assessment.

The company is a drug-free workplace. Post-offer applicants and employees may be tested for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP and alcohol when criteria are met under company policy.

This is not an export control position and not a safety sensitive position. No language requirements apply.

You must be able to obtain a US security clearance, which requires US citizenship. An interim and/or final US Secret clearance is required after start. You must also be able to obtain program access, which requires US citizenship only.

The company will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.

This position is not contingent upon program award.

Level 4 base pay is $162,350-$219,650. Pay depends on experience, qualifications, and market and business considerations, and the range is a general guideline only.

Benefits

  • Competitive base pay plus variable compensation opportunities.
  • Possible signing bonus for those who qualify.
  • 401(k) with a company match dollar for dollar up to 10% of eligible pay, vested immediately at 100%.
  • Student loan match: eligible enrolled US employees can have qualified student loan payments counted toward their 401(k) company match.
  • Health insurance, flexible spending and health savings accounts, retirement savings, life and disability insurance, and paid and unpaid time away from work.

  • Tuition help toward advanced degrees.
  • Available programs may vary by location, hire date and collective bargaining agreements.
