Description

The company designs and protects computing assets embedded in its most advanced defense platforms.

The team is responsible for protecting critical computers across every defense product the company develops, so you work across a wide defense portfolio rather than one product for one customer.

The role is design, integration and test engineering, and sits in the company's Anti-Tamper Engineering Capability Center.

Responsibilities

  • Support programs, research and strategic initiatives in product security and anti-tamper.

  • Work with platform chief engineers, chief architects and team leads to define architectures and implementations that let advanced tactical capabilities be fielded and sold.
  • Work directly with customers to define system requirements and architectures, then develop and oversee new designs.
  • Stay involved across the system life cycle, through final testing, verification and fielding.

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing technology), computer science, data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry, or a non-US equivalent directly related to the work.
  • Have 5 or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent mix of technical education and experience, or non-US equivalent qualifications.
  • Have experience designing, developing and integrating complex electronic systems or subsystems.
  • Have experience supporting military or defense customers.
  • Preferred: experience in anti-tamper or product security.
  • Preferred: experience with requirements analysis.
  • Preferred: experience or interest in cryptography, secure communications protocols and reverse engineering at the system and component level.
  • Preferred: experience or interest in commercial off the shelf (COTS) FPGAs and COTS security features.
  • Preferred: an active U.S. Top Secret clearance.
  • Typical education is an accredited advanced technical degree in engineering, computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry, usually with 5 or more years of related experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is preferred but not required.

Conditions

This job is 100% onsite at one of the listed locations, based in St. Louis, MO and posted for Berkeley, MO, on first shift.

You must hold an active U.S. Secret security clearance, which has been active within the past 24 months to count as active, and U.S. citizenship is required. You must also be able to obtain additional clearances, which require U.S. citizenship.

A final pre-start check for the Secret clearance is required.

You must satisfy the company's conflict of interest assessment.

You must meet U.S. export control rules and be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62, which includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees and asylees.

The company will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.

The position is not contingent upon program award and is not safety sensitive.

Relocation is offered based on candidate eligibility.

The company is a drug free workplace, and post-offer applicants and employees may be tested for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP and alcohol when criteria are met under company policy.
