Description

The company builds Workday products that help customers reduce risk, solve complex business problems and get more value from their Workday investment. It has grown steadily, serves more than 700 customers and keeps expanding its Workday product range.

This Product Owner role focuses on the Pay Transparency Analyzer product during a period of growth. You will help set its direction and work on pay equity, a real and meaningful problem.

You will own the roadmap for one or more functional areas, learn what customers need and why, and turn those needs into clear product priorities. You will work with development, sales, pre-sales, marketing and professional services to deliver solutions that produce measurable value for customers and the business.

You will also look at how emerging technologies, including AI and agents, could solve customer problems and strengthen the product. You will weigh customer needs, commercial goals and technical constraints to make sound product decisions as the market changes.

You will see the results of your decisions and can grow your product management career at the company.

Responsibilities

  • Learn who your customers are, what they need from the product and why they use it.
  • Become an expert on the problems the product solves and why those problems matter.
  • Run structured workshops with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Define and build solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Set out the benefits your solutions deliver and how to measure success.
  • Track competitors and plan how to stay ahead of them.
  • Find chances to use AI agents and put them into your product area with Workday's agent tools.
  • Launch products and features, and help internal teams such as delivery, pre-sales and onboarding prepare to get the most from them.
  • Own the product roadmap and manage the backlog.
  • Write actionable user stories for development teams.
  • Prioritise the backlog so that goals are met.
  • Define and track success criteria for each delivered feature.
  • Set release acceptance criteria for each feature, including the MVP criteria.
  • Measure, track and improve the non-functional aspects of the product.
  • Help with marketing campaigns and external posts when needed.
  • Support sales with product demos and discussions of technical detail when required.

Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years of experience as a Product Owner in a SaaS environment, managing a backlog, working with development teams and building product roadmaps.
  • A proven ability to carry out the core Product Owner duties listed above.
  • Strong communication skills. You persuade clearly, negotiate well, and listen and build on others' views.
  • Enthusiasm for new technology and innovation, and a willingness to challenge the status quo and propose new ideas for how we work and for the roadmap.
  • A sharp eye for detail. You can interpret supplied information, check its sources and push back when needed.
  • Confidence engaging customers to understand requirements and taking part in functional or technical product discussions.
  • Relevant commercial experience and an understanding of how to set product investment priorities and drive commercial success.
  • A good grasp of technology, digital services and current trends.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with your team and external stakeholders.
  • Desirable: prior experience integrating AI into commercial products to solve real business problems.

Conditions

The company is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion and welcomes applicants of every background and characteristic.

If you need an accommodation or adjustment during recruitment, contact the talent team, who can arrange a private conversation to tailor the process to you.
