Vice President - Product Owner - Digital Assets - Transaction Banking Product, TD Securities

Description

This VP-level Product Owner role advances the company's digital assets strategy and builds new capabilities in tokenized money, blockchain-based financial infrastructure and the wider digital asset ecosystem.

You report to the Director and Head of Digital Assets and Emerging Payments and act as a lead Product Owner for digital assets, turning new technology, market shifts and client needs into products that can scale.

The company offers capital markets products and services to corporate, government and institutional clients, with more than 6,500 professionals in 40 cities. In 2023 it acquired Cowen Inc., adding a U.S. equities business and an equity research franchise.

The team wants a product leader who is already working in digital assets, understands the technology and ecosystem, and has turned digital asset capabilities into real products that can move from experimentation into scalable production.

You bring solid knowledge of the digital asset ecosystem, strong product leadership, and comfort working where blockchain, financial services and changing digital asset markets meet.

Responsibilities

• Own product delivery for key digital assets initiatives, from discovery through implementation and scaling.
• Turn strategy, client needs and market developments into requirements, roadmaps and delivery priorities.
• Make the decisions on product scope, prioritization, sequencing and major business choices for your initiatives.
• Work with technology and architecture teams to design scalable solutions that connect blockchain and distributed ledger technology with existing financial infrastructure.
• Drive development of tokenized deposits, stablecoins, tokenization, blockchain-based payments and settlement, and other forms of digital money and assets.
• Align requirements and dependencies across business, technology, operations and control partners.
• Support client pilots, ecosystem partnerships and the commercialization of new digital assets capabilities.
• Track the global digital assets ecosystem and identify opportunities, use cases and their implications for the company.

Requirements

• Proven professional experience in digital assets, blockchain or crypto, ideally building or delivering institutional or enterprise-grade products.
• Broad knowledge of the digital asset ecosystem, including blockchain and DLT, cryptocurrencies, tokenization, stablecoins, tokenized deposits, CBDCs, digital wallets and blockchain-based settlement infrastructure.
• Solid grasp of blockchain infrastructure and of how digital assets are issued, transferred and settled, and how they connect with traditional financial systems.
• Experience building products or platforms at a digital assets company, fintech, blockchain infrastructure provider, financial institution or other technology-led organization.
• Strong product ownership or product management experience, including taking complex products from concept through delivery and commercialization.
• Ability to turn emerging technology into practical products and client use cases while weighing scalability, risk, regulatory and operational concerns.
• Strong technical fluency and the ability to work effectively with engineering, architecture and platform teams.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and decision-making skills, with experience across multidisciplinary teams.
• Preferred: hands-on experience building institutional digital assets products, tokenized money, blockchain infrastructure or tokenization solutions.
• Preferred: experience moving blockchain or digital assets capabilities from experiment or proof of concept into production.
• Preferred: experience working across traditional finance and the digital assets ecosystem, including integration with payments, settlement, liquidity or other financial infrastructure.

Hours: 40.

Line of business: TD Securities capital markets.

Base pay range: $145,000 to $225,000 USD.

The pay offered may vary based on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, geographic location and business needs. Colleagues can progress through the range over time.
