Description

The company is a global consulting firm that uses digital technology and creative problem solving to build industry-leading solutions for clients.

Its work covers artificial intelligence, consulting, digital, cloud and DevOps, data, and software engineering, mainly for financial services and technology firms.

Research in its FinLabs spans areas such as AI, blockchain, data science, digital underwriting, and mobile-first apps.

The company has operated for more than 20 years and employs over 17,000 people across 58 offices in 22 countries.

This is a senior product owner role for the municipal bond business. You will set the product direction and roadmap for primary issuance, from issuance and syndication through pricing, allocation, and settlement, keeping the work aligned with business goals and regulation.

You will work with front office, syndicate desks, operations, and technology teams in a scaled Agile setup to deliver execution that is efficient, transparent, and ready for audit.

Responsibilities

  • Define and carry out the product vision and roadmap for Munis platforms, such as Deal Central and other issuance platforms, in line with strategic priorities.
  • Build deep knowledge of the Munis deal lifecycle, including new issue workflows, order book management, allocations, and investor distribution.
  • Connect the workflow end to end so data moves cleanly across origination, syndication, and settlement systems.
  • Work with syndicate desks, bankers, sales, and operations to learn their pain points and rank high-impact fixes.
  • Own and rank the program and product backlog, weighing regulatory, business, and platform modernization needs.
  • Lead delivery across 1 to 3 cross-functional Agile teams and keep them aligned on the value they deliver.
  • Write user stories and acceptance criteria that focus on automation, data integrity, and client transparency.
  • Make fast trade-off calls between new features, regulatory requirements, and platform stability.
  • Make sure features are delivered to a high standard and accepted, with attention to scale and resilience.
  • Push automation and straight-through processing (STP) through Munis execution workflows.
  • Explain strategy, roadmap, and results to senior stakeholders, including the C-suite, and drive adoption among business users.
  • Support user training, demos, and change management to improve adoption and user experience.
  • Have hands-on experience in primary Munis markets: issuance, syndication, pricing, allocations, and settlement.

Requirements

  • Solid grasp of the municipal bond issuance lifecycle, covering both competitive and negotiated deals.
  • Working knowledge of syndication, pricing, and allocation processes.
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance rules in Munis markets.
  • Bachelor's degree in technology, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience working directly with front office, syndicate, or trading desks is strongly preferred.
  • Strong grasp of fixed income products and market structure.
  • Track record of turning business needs into scalable technology solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Experience troubleshooting production issues and getting them resolved quickly.
  • Clear communication, including presenting complex topics to business and executive audiences.
  • Experience leading large platform initiatives and user experience improvements.
  • Solid Agile experience: backlog prioritization, story writing, acceptance criteria, and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience in global, cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with reporting or BI tools and standard productivity tools such as MS Office and Visio.
  • MBA or MS preferred.
  • Preferred, but not required: experience with and interest in Agile practices such as pair programming and daily stand-ups.
  • Preferred, but not required: proven knowledge of the problem domain you have worked in.
  • Preferred, but not required: eagerness to learn new technology.
  • Preferred, but not required: relevant experience in banking middle office, back office, or finance.
