Description

The company is hiring a Product Developer for its Counterparty Credit Risk team. You will be the link between technology and business stakeholders, including Risk, the Desk and Underwriters, with a focus on Loans Stress Loss analysis and delivery.

You will shape how accurate and trustworthy risk exposure reporting is, and help build the systems that inform business decisions in a key risk function within the company's global banking operations.

Responsibilities

  • Check total outstanding and unused committed credit exposure and the related Loans Stress Loss figures, so that risk reports stay accurate and reliable.
  • Find out what drives changes in exposure, and work with underwriters, business teams and the Portfolio Management Group to investigate and confirm what you find.
  • Look into unusual or unexpected shifts in exposure data and coordinate with other teams to find and fix the cause, whether it sits in collateral, trade bookings, data quality or model outputs.
  • Work with business and technology colleagues to improve Loans Stress Loss systems and processes, including gathering requirements, writing business requirements documents and running user acceptance testing.
  • Propose fixes across data analytics, reporting, relationship management systems, trade workflows and trade processing that make operations more effective.
  • Review the risk impact of business decisions, making sure they meet the company's standards and regulatory obligations and are escalated openly where needed.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of experience in Technology Finance.
  • Working knowledge of Tableau, Python and Excel for data investigation, exposure analysis and reporting.
  • Skill in business analysis, fixing data quality problems, and running exploratory and descriptive analysis on complex financial data.
  • Ability to work through detailed data investigations quickly while keeping a very high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to break down unclear problems, build practical solutions and see them through to delivery.
  • Clear communicator who can bring technology and business stakeholders into agreement.
  • Understanding of risk measurement methods and the main drivers behind them.
  • Experience in Counterparty Credit Risk management would be a plus.
  • Nice to have: curiosity and a conceptual approach that spots new chances to improve processes or systems.
  • Nice to have: a proven record of building and keeping professional networks with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Nice to have: experience supporting technology delivery, such as writing business requirements or coordinating system testing.

Conditions

Full-time role.

Hybrid model: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

  • Wide exposure to business stakeholders across the firm, helping you build a strong network in a global company.
  • A results-focused team that values analytical thinking, collaboration and delivery.
  • Competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package, including financial wellbeing and family support programmes.
  • Wellbeing resources to help you perform well at work and beyond.
