Description

The manufacturing sector is moving toward AI-enabled, data-driven and increasingly autonomous operations, and this role is central to that shift.

As Principal Product Manager for Manufacturing Solutions, you will set and deliver products that improve operational efficiency and produce measurable business results for industrial customers.

You will guide each product from discovery through adoption to scale, linking customer needs, engineering delivery and commercial outcomes. The company is taking an AI-first approach, and your direction will follow it.

The company builds enterprise software for organizations that make and distribute goods, build and maintain assets, and run service operations. It has over 7,000 employees across all continents, reports billion-dollar revenue, and uses its own AI technology as the foundation of its software.

Responsibilities

  • Set a product vision and roadmap tied to company strategy and measurable customer outcomes.
  • Find high-impact opportunities by analyzing markets, customers, competitors and the industry.
  • Write investment cases that weigh value, adoption, scalability and differentiation.
  • Grow both core and AI revenue streams.
  • Keep strategy aligned across related products and components in the portfolio.
  • Lead discovery with Research and Design, speaking directly with customers about their workflows, challenges and goals.
  • Co-create and test solutions with customers, keeping feedback running from discovery through adoption.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative evidence to refine direction and confirm return on investment.
  • Prioritize work strictly by measurable value.
  • Apply AI and automation to improve operational decisions and manufacturing workflows.
  • Lead functional prototyping and early validation to confirm feasibility and market fit.
  • Encourage Product, Design and Engineering to use AI where it creates real customer and commercial value.
  • Build AI into workflows, decision support, automation and user experience as a core capability rather than an add-on.
  • Own the product from concept through launch and scale.
  • Connect functional, technical and commercial needs so prototypes become adopted products.
  • Clarify priorities, clear blockers and push progress toward customer outcomes.
  • Keep Engineering, Design, Product Marketing, Support, Sales, go-to-market and Customer Success aligned and informed.
  • Balance competing priorities while contributing to commercial performance and product P&L.
  • Define and communicate product differentiation and value proposition.
  • Help shape pricing and packaging to support growth and market reach.
  • Work with Product Marketing and go-to-market teams on launches and market positioning.
  • Take part in customer and partner presentations to build credibility and adoption.
  • Treat adoption as a core measure, making sure capabilities are intuitive, usable and deliver operational impact.

Requirements

  • Essential: 6+ years of product management in SaaS, platform or enterprise software.
  • Essential: Knowledge of manufacturing, ideally gained through hands-on industry work.
  • Essential: A track record of defining product strategy, vision and measurable outcomes.
  • Essential: Hands-on experience in customer discovery, prototyping and solution validation.
  • Essential: A record of launching and scaling products from concept to adoption with measurable customer value.
  • Essential: Strong communication, stakeholder management and prioritization skills.
  • Essential: Decisions guided by analytics, experiments and evidence.
  • Essential: AI-curious.
  • Desirable: Experience with developer platforms, application frameworks, data services or AI/ML-enabled enterprise applications.
  • Desirable: Prior commercial work such as pricing, monetization or P&L ownership.
  • Desirable: Experience working in global, distributed organizations across regions.
