Description

The company is a Fortune 500 firm and a leading AI platform for managing people, money, and agents. Its Enterprise Data and Analytics team was formed in 2024 to change how the company creates and shares trusted data, so teams can act on insights and build data-led innovation across the business.

The team sets the DataOps, Data Product, and Active Data Governance frameworks used company-wide. It also supplies the blueprints for putting AI into continuous delivery, building language model solutions, and automating workflows for autonomous workloads.

The team is moving the company to an AI-first way of working by building agent networks in Sana and Gemini that take over routine tasks, reduce technical debt, and speed up delivery.

This is the most senior individual contributor level. You will set long-term vision, execution standards, and multi-quarter roadmaps for infrastructure that must support fast growth, resolve unclear technical problems, reduce major architecture risks, and lead complex multi-team work to deliver data-as-a-product assets at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the top technical authority by setting the long-term vision, core standards, and multi-quarter architecture plans for a mission-critical enterprise cloud infrastructure portfolio. Oversee global platform administration, Terraform infrastructure as code standards, and CI/CD pipelines, mentor senior engineers, and build shared infrastructure modules.
  • Set and enforce function-wide knowledge sharing rules across the global DevOps and analytics engineering job families, treating documentation as code so the architecture stays clear.
  • Reduce serious infrastructure and architecture risk across the enterprise. Design high-scale, zero-trust data reliability controls and predictive telemetry so the data platform stays up during periods of rapid growth.
  • Sponsor and chair cross-functional technical review boards that align direction across competing business segments. Lead multi-team infrastructure transformations, clear blockers in platform migrations, and plan capital resources.
  • Define and govern the operating blueprints that build DataOps and Active Data Governance into the main software delivery pipelines.
  • Lead the AI-first workforce effort by building division-level agent networks and automated scripts in Cursor IDE, Sana, and Gemini. These will automate code refactoring, system validation, and portfolio tracking at enterprise scale.

Requirements

  • At least 12 years of professional technical leadership in DataOps, DevOps, cloud automation, program management, or platform engineering within enterprise data and analytics.
  • At least 12 years managing and scaling linked data platform products, cluster configurations, and enterprise CI/CD networks.
  • At least 12 years of leadership, including a record of influencing VP and SVP stakeholders to reach technical agreement and drive cross-functional change.
  • Expert knowledge of high-scale distributed data platforms, capital budgeting for clusters, modern warehouse design, Terraform, and orchestration of hyperscale pipelines.
  • Experience with GitHub Actions, Snowflake, Fivetran, Sigma, and Atlan, or similar enterprise data platforms, is preferred.
  • Master-level ability to direct AI-driven validation and deployment frameworks, set branch benchmark policies for autonomous code generation loops, and design agent networks that remove manual infrastructure work.
  • Deep skill in federated active metadata and predictive data trust telemetry, building compliance logic into global platform environments, and managing complex asset lifecycles.
  • Ability to work under pressure in complex corporate settings, win agreement across competing business units, and act as a change agent and thought leader for DevOps and engineering communities.

Conditions

Hybrid work is open at 50%, reporting to the Pleasanton campus in California.

Rather than a set number of office days, you spend at least 50% of your time each quarter in the office or in the field with customers, prospects, and partners, depending on role. Remote home office roles can also join in-office gatherings for key moments.

Base salary is $175,400 USD to $263,200 USD for the primary Pleasanton, California location, and $147,300 USD to $263,200 USD for other listed US locations. Pay depends on geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need.

Recruiters can share more detail during hiring.

The company is an equal opportunity employer including individuals with disabilities and protected veterans, and it will consider applicants with arrest and conviction records under applicable Fair Chance law.
