  • Configure and maintain IBM and third-party products, including Broadcom (CA), BMC and Compuware solutions.
  • Take part in disaster recovery planning, testing and recovery exercises to keep the business running and the platform resilient.
  • Manage mainframe hardware, coupling facilities, storage setups and GDPS environments.

  • Provide 24x7 production support and on-call cover within a rotating support schedule.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years working in an IT environment overall.
  • At least 10 years designing, building or supporting technology infrastructure.
  • Deep experience running IBM z/OS in large Parallel Sysplex environments.
  • Strong skill in z/OS installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrades and SMP/E deployment.
  • Hands-on experience with CICS, IMS, JES2, IBM MQ and Db2 for z/OS.
  • Advanced knowledge of RACF security administration, access controls and compliance practices.
  • Proven ability to resolve complex z/OS system, performance and availability problems.
  • Experience with performance monitoring and capacity tools, including RMF and MainView.
  • Solid understanding of Coupling Facilities, mainframe storage management and IBM Z hardware.
  • Experience supporting and configuring enterprise software from Broadcom (CA), BMC and Compuware.
