Description

This role combines network engineering depth with instructional design and facilitation to train commercial teams worldwide.

You will be the subject matter expert for the company's digital products, building global curricula and leading sessions that help service and support staff implement, troubleshoot and explain product value.

The job sits between technology, education and customer success so training stays consistent across regions.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a global curriculum that sets shared technical standards for commercial roles, using needs analysis, learning objectives, assessment and regular revision.
  • Deliver training in person, virtually and through train-the-trainer sessions, covering networking, data, security, design and product workflows.
  • Create onboarding and ongoing learning for digital solution rollouts that reduce escalations and speed up adoption.
  • Track training results and use the data to raise learner proficiency.
  • Run several complex training projects at once, including agendas, logistics, participant communication and test environment setup.
  • Act as functional expert for digital technical support tiers 1 and 2, and build training on networked configurations, upgrades and enhancements.
  • Teach resolution methods for complex connectivity, access and software issues, with depth in TCP/IP and 802.11.
  • Stay current on technical specifications, products, services, policies and procedures for digital solutions.
  • Maintain working knowledge of core IT areas such as network systems, operating systems, databases, access controls, change control, development, IT operations, incident response, monitoring and asset management.
  • Stay proficient in the company's internal business applications.
  • Create training for commercial and distributor teams, focused on digital technical support, field service, customer service and technical support.
  • Produce leader guides, e-learning modules, videos and performance support materials.
  • Work with the digital learning team, product owners, engineers and support teams so training matches product requirements and updates, and stay close to global stakeholders' business needs.
  • Keep regular contact with product development and management on infrastructure changes, software upgrades and enhancements.
  • Work with sales, service, cybersecurity and customer-facing teams to find and close training gaps.
  • Support local and corporate teams on new product introductions and upgrades as the technical expert.

Requirements

  • Training experience is preferred. Without it, you must be curious and willing to complete an introductory instructional design course.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to audiences from service engineers to CTO and CIO level.
  • Self-driven, collaborative and focused on solutions.
  • Solid network engineering base in TCP/UDP, VLANs, subnetting, firewalls, NAT/PAT, the OSI model and cybersecurity practice.
  • Advanced knowledge of servers, databases, storage, operating systems, HL7/DICOM interfaces and cloud services.
  • A proven record of analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving complex technical problems.
  • Experience building and presenting architecture diagrams, technical documentation and RFI/RFP responses.
  • Familiarity with hospital IT processes, healthcare technology trends and industry regulations.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, or 8+ years of equivalent technical experience, preferably in medical device or healthcare IT.
  • Professional certifications are preferred: MCSE, CCNA, CWNA, CWSP, CompTIA Network+ or Security+.
  • Preferred: experience managing complex projects end to end.
  • Preferred: familiarity with hospital IT environments and regulated medical settings.
  • Preferred: experience with complaint handling and compliance requirements.
  • Preferred: knowledge of network security infrastructure, vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
