The company is an international group that is expanding its marketplace reporting across the Autonex group, and the Global Central Analytics team is growing its reporting capabilities to match.
This principal role builds a Portfolio Intelligence capability covering AutoProff, DealerTrack, CMS, Software and Finance. You will help business leaders understand performance through trusted core KPIs and reporting shaped around how each business actually runs.
You report to the Central Analytics Lead, set technical direction and take on complex analytical problems directly. You will also help colleagues grow their skills and improve how the team delivers insight. AI tools are part of daily work here, so you will use them actively in analysis and development, help colleagues adopt good workflows, and judge the results carefully.
Responsibilities
Set analytics priorities and reporting direction for portfolio businesses, linking their commercial drivers to the decisions leaders face.
Mentor analysts through problem framing, pair work, reviews and direct feedback, building their technical judgment, stakeholder communication and confidence with complex work.
Lift standards across Global Central Analytics by sharing good practice, building reusable approaches and turning project lessons into guidance for the wider team.
Find ways to make the team work better: simplify reporting, cut manual effort and technical debt, and improve reliability, delivery speed and the cost of analytical workloads.
Build AI into daily delivery across SQL and Python development, exploration, testing, documentation and reporting. Assess new tools and agentic workflows, share what works and check results against trusted data.
Own complex reporting initiatives from requirements through to adoption. Stay hands-on with data models, pipelines and dashboards, working alongside engineering and data platform teams.
Define KPIs with clear ownership and validation, supported by documentation and controlled changes that keep results comparable. Build reusable metrics and semantic context for reliable self-service and AI-assisted analysis.
Explain performance changes, spot risks and opportunities, and turn findings into recommendations. Help shape the insights discussed in weekly and monthly business reviews with the relevant business owners.
Work with FP&A to set up and maintain core financial KPI reporting that links operational results to financial outcomes, while Finance keeps ownership of financial definitions and reporting decisions.
Act as a senior analytics partner to business and technical leaders. Clarify unclear points, question assumptions and get stakeholders aligned on priorities, trade-offs and a workable delivery plan.

Experience delivering reliable reporting on cloud data platforms, with transformation tools and BI systems, backed by version control, testing and documentation.
Proven ownership of KPI frameworks and reporting quality, including reconciliation, validation and changes to definitions or sources.
You can learn unfamiliar business domains, find their performance drivers and balance shared standards against business-specific needs.
Experience coaching analysts, improving team practices and sharing knowledge beyond your own projects, while staying close to technical delivery.
Comfortable working with senior stakeholders, challenging unclear requirements constructively and turning analysis into decisions and practical recommendations.
