Description

The company runs live music, sports, and entertainment events, and this role sits within its Data Analytics, Reporting and Strategy team. The team is headquartered in Los Angeles and supports the company's digital media strategy and campaigns across several divisions, including AEG Presents, Global Touring, Festivals, Goldenvoice, Bowery Presents, and Global Partnerships.

The Senior Data Analyst acts as the lead analytical partner for the Paid Media team and works with the Paid Media, Product, and Data Engineering teams on cross-functional projects covering data ingestion, aggregation, mastering, measurement, and visualization.

The role pulls and models campaign data from ad platforms, joins it with other sources, and builds a unified view of performance. It designs scalable data models and automated reporting, and turns findings into practical recommendations that support ticket sales, event awareness, and brand goals.

Equal opportunity employer. Employer does not offer work visa sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Compile performance reports across digital channels using internal BI tools, Google Analytics, and native advertising platforms, and present clear, actionable insights to stakeholders for media plans, budget forecasts, targeting, audiences, and creative.
  • Build and maintain measurement plans that set benchmarks by objective, and develop and maintain attribution models that show trends, testing opportunities, and insights by channel, audience, festival, tour, regional show, and business unit.
  • Work with Data, Product, and Engineering teams to manage pipelines and ingestion for channel metrics, define data collection requirements, enforce a clean reporting taxonomy, and keep data accurate and consistent across ad buying and internal platforms.
  • Work with media, marketing, and data teams to shape audience and targeting strategy, and design tests of new campaign strategies, ad products, optimization tactics, and targeting features.
  • Lead paid media projects that use aggregation and measurement tools such as Datorama, GA4, Tag Manager, DOMO, BigQuery, LiveRamp, and server-to-server media partner integrations, and make sure site tracking captures the data needed to measure marketing effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external reporting dashboards with the data team, and handle ad hoc reporting requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (4-year) in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business, Marketing, or a related quantitative field.
  • 4, 6 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a similar role, with paid media or digital marketing data from the client, publisher, or agency side. E-commerce experience is preferred.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience pulling, transforming, and analyzing large, complex datasets.
  • Ability to build data models, data flows, and ETL or ELT pipelines in SQL and/or Python that bring data from several media channels into a scalable, automated reporting structure.
  • Skill with BI and visualization tools such as DOMO, Looker Studio, or Tableau, with strong dashboard design and data storytelling.
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Intelligence (formerly Datorama) or similar marketing data integration platforms is a strong plus.
  • Working knowledge of paid media metrics, including impressions, CTR, CPC, CPA, conversion rate, and ROAS, across Meta, Google Ads, and TikTok.
  • Familiarity with tracking setup such as GA4, Google Tag Manager, pixels, Conversions API, UTMs, and server-side tracking.
  • Experience applying statistical methods to performance benchmarking, attribution modeling, and media mix modeling (MMM).
  • Understanding of the ad tech and martech landscape, including programmatic buying, DSP/SSP, audience management, ad serving, and social buying platforms, and of how privacy rules affect measurement, including cookieless tracking and multi-touch journeys.
  • Ability to explain insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences and manage several cross-functional projects at once.
