Vice President, Data, Analytics & Economy

Description

The company makes games and is looking for a senior leader to run its data, analytics and game economy work across the portfolio.

The role sets the data strategy, drives decision intelligence and owns how game economies perform, with the aim of making key business decisions on trusted insight, advanced analytics and rigorous experimentation.

You will help grow player engagement, retention and monetization across the portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Set the data strategy and deliver it, including the Product Madness strategy.
• Build data platforms and products that are trusted, scalable and easy to access.
• Set governance rules, data quality standards and consistent business metrics.
• Create decision frameworks so leaders can act confidently and quickly.
• Lead business intelligence, analytics, research and data science.
• Turn insight into action across products, portfolio performance and player behaviour.
• Shape investment, portfolio priority and growth decisions with data.
• Encourage data-informed decision-making across the whole organisation.
• Own experimentation standards, governance and testing frameworks.
• Raise the speed of testing and the quality of what is learned and applied.
• Make sure material decisions rest on strong evidence and measurable results.
• Build predictive models that support acquisition, engagement, retention and commercial performance.
• Set portfolio-wide standards for healthy, balanced game economies.
• Lead monetization, offer strategy, segmentation and pricing work.
• Work with Product and Live Operations leaders to grow player lifetime value.
• Weigh short-term commercial results against player trust and long-term engagement.
• Lead forecasting, machine learning and advanced analytics projects.
• Apply data science to improve player and commercial outcomes.
• Find and expand competitive advantage through responsible use of data and AI.

Requirements

• Senior leadership experience in data, analytics, data science or game economy roles within gaming, digital products or consumer technology.
• A record of building trusted data capabilities and turning insight into commercial and player results.
• Solid knowledge of experimentation, segmentation, monetization, predictive analytics and metric governance.
• Experience leading distributed teams spanning technical and commercial functions.
• Sound product judgment and the ability to balance revenue with a sustainable player experience.
