Network Engineer

The company develops products and experiences for the gaming industry.

You would join the ITOps Global Network Infrastructure team to lead how the company's enterprise network is built, rolled out and tuned.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, rollout and upkeep of secure, scalable LAN and WAN networks.
• Run Palo Alto Networks firewall projects, including policy design, threat prevention and VPN setup.
• Operate and improve Aruba wireless and switching equipment, along with ClearPass and AirWave.
• Watch network performance and diagnose difficult faults with advanced tools.
• Put network security rules and compliance standards into practice and make sure they hold.
• Work with other teams on infrastructure projects and the business applications they depend on.
• Coach junior engineers and guide the team technically.
• Keep current records of network configurations, diagrams and operating procedures.
• Take part in the on-call rotation and help respond to incidents.
• Design and support dark fiber for high-capacity links.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, IT or a related subject, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of hands-on work in enterprise network engineering.
• Working knowledge of Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Aruba networking.
• Solid grasp of TCP/IP, routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, VLANs and subnetting.
• Hands-on use of monitoring and analysis tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds or PRTG.
• Proven experience building and implementing secure network architectures.
• Strong analytical skills, clear communication and good documentation habits.
• Preferred: PCNSE, CCNP or equivalent certifications.
• Advantage: network automation and scripting in Python or Ansible.
• Desirable: familiarity with cloud networking on AWS or Azure and hybrid environments.
