AI Platform Engineer (Agents & Integration)

Description

The company is a Fortune 500 IT distributor and solutions aggregator with over 22,000 employees in more than 100 countries. It connects technology vendors, resellers and customers to deliver IT solutions for digital transformation and secure, efficient operations.

The central AI function is hiring an engineer to build agents, tools, APIs and shared platform services, and to help other teams take agent solutions into production.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy and run pro-code AI agents, tools, APIs and shared platform services in Python or C#/.NET.
• Design secure communication between users, agents, tools and enterprise systems, using MCP and REST APIs where they fit.
• Build reusable components and reference implementations that other engineering teams can adopt, maintain and update.
• Coordinate with the cloud, identity, security and API teams on hosting, connectivity, gateway controls and authorization.
• Set up automated tests, infrastructure as code and CI/CD so services ship through controlled environments.
• Put evaluation, monitoring, tracing, incident response and cost visibility in place for deployed agents.
• Help other teams turn agent prototypes into supported production services, with clear ownership and handover.

Requirements

• Strong production software engineering experience in Python or C#/.NET. You need one of the two, not both.
• Hands-on experience building agents with Microsoft Agent Framework or a comparable pro-code framework, including orchestration and tool use.
• Experience designing, delivering and running enterprise services or shared capabilities used by several teams.
• Practical understanding of APIs, MCP or similar tool-integration patterns, and versioned contracts.
• Experience across the production lifecycle: automated tests, code review, CI/CD, deployment, observability, and incident troubleshooting and recovery.
• Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure, containers, infrastructure as code, networking and secrets management.
• Understanding of OAuth 2.0 and OIDC, workload and user identities, and authorization across service boundaries.
• Nice to have: experience with Microsoft Foundry, Azure API Management, Azure DevOps or comparable platforms.
• Nice to have: experience with gateway controls and identity integration across systems.
• Nice to have: experience enabling teams through technical documentation, examples and reusable delivery patterns.

Conditions

Remote work in Poland, or hybrid with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
