Solutions Architect, IBM Software

Description

You will help build the IBM Software business in Finland and the Nordics. The role is a technical adviser on the IBM software portfolio, a trusted guide for partners, and a key support in presales.

The company is the official IBM distributor and is growing its IBM Software business in Finland as part of the Nordic IBM organisation. You will work with the latest technologies and with IBM, Red Hat and a wide partner network.

You will be one of six people in the local IBM team and work closely with Nordic specialists. The role combines technical expertise, solution design, partner support and developing new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical expert on IBM Software solutions for the company's partners and internal stakeholders
• Support partners in customer projects, bid phases, and solution design and architecture
• Design, build and present demo, proof of concept (PoC) and pilot environments
• Take part in technical workshops, customer meetings and solution presentations with IBM and partners
• Build partners' technical skills through training, workshops and enablement activities
• Track technology and market developments and help identify new business opportunities
• Keep your own skills current and take and maintain IBM technical certifications
• Help partners meet the technical requirements of IBM partner programmes, together with the company's IBM team

Requirements

• Experience in technical presales, consulting, solution architecture or similar expert roles
• Understanding of enterprise software, integrations, application architecture or hybrid cloud solutions
• Ability to talk with both business leaders and technical specialists
• Hands-on experience installing, configuring and demonstrating software
• Experience building demo and PoC environments
• Understanding of application development, APIs and modern software architecture
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and pass technical certifications
• Fluent Finnish and English
• Relevant technical degree, such as in IT, software engineering or information systems
• Advantage: knowledge of the IBM Software portfolio
• Advantage: experience with Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes or Linux environments
• Advantage: knowledge of integration, automation, data or AI solutions
• Advantage: experience with container technologies, DevOps practices or cloud services
• Advantage: IBM, Red Hat, Microsoft Azure or AWS certifications
