Description

The company is a financial platform for small businesses. It offers a business credit card, a spend management platform built for SMEs, a savings product that reached £1 billion in funds within its first year, and a growing set of tools for running a small business.

The company has more than 1,000 employees, £20bn in annual card spend, over 200,000 customers and 17,000+ Trustpilot reviews averaging 4.7 stars. It is profitable.

The Core Infrastructure team builds a secure, patched and cost-efficient cloud base, with everything defined as code. The team owns the cloud, network, identity and infrastructure delivery that every product team depends on. This year it is consolidating access and secrets management, modernising the edge, moving to GitHub and assessing a multi-cloud setup.

The team is also building the infrastructure that connects engineers and products to Anthropic and OpenAI models securely and at scale.

The interview process has three stages: a 30-minute call with a Talent Partner, a 75-minute technical video session with the Core Infrastructure team lead and a team member, and a 30-minute interview with the Head of Platform.

You should hear back within 3 working days, or within 5 working days during busy periods.

  • Help build and run AI infrastructure, including model access through Microsoft Foundry, Anthropic and OpenAI.
  • Run the AI and MCP gateway layer, managing access, routing and authentication for AI tools and agents.
  • Apply the same security, identity and observability standards to AI services as to the rest of the cloud platform.
  • Run infrastructure monitoring with Grafana, Prometheus and Log Analytics.
  • Contribute to cloud cost management, disaster recovery and multi-cloud work.
  • Work with Database Engineering, SRE and Developer Enablement on shared infrastructure projects.
  • Write clear documentation and keep infrastructure standards current.

  • Experience with cloud identity and access management, RBAC and secrets management.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar.
  • Proficiency in a scripting language such as Go, Rust, PowerShell or Python.
  • You use AI as part of your everyday work to move faster and automate repetitive tasks, and you know when to rely on your own judgement.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work across teams.
  • Nice to have: experience with AI platforms or LLM APIs such as Anthropic, OpenAI or Microsoft Foundry.
  • Nice to have: experience running a multi-cloud setup across Azure and GCP.
