Description

The company is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical business developing therapies for central nervous system disorders linked to neuronal imbalance, using genetic insights as its starting point.

This is a patient marketing manager role supporting relutrigine within the epilepsy portfolio. You will shape how the company understands, reaches, educates and supports patients and caregivers through the treatment journey, from market development through launch and after.

You will build the patient marketing approach rather than take over an existing one, choosing the highest-impact opportunities and leading cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver measurable results.

The role demands strategic thinking, independent judgment and hands-on work, with close collaboration across Commercial, Medical, Patient Advocacy, Market Access, Analytics, Legal, Regulatory and Compliance, and external partners.

This position may be done remotely but requires flexibility and a willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Own the patient strategy for relutrigine by building insight-led patient and caregiver marketing plans that tie patient needs to commercial goals and measurable outcomes, then turn them into a prioritized plan covering audiences, programs and resourcing.
  • Lead patient marketing launch workstreams, including patient-facing campaigns, content, channels and experiences, moving between strategy and hands-on execution. Set milestones, manage dependencies and address risks to keep assigned launch priorities on track.
  • Build a detailed understanding of patient and caregiver behavior, barriers, motivations and unmet needs using market research, analytics, field insight and cross-functional work. Shape research and analytics priorities to close key insight gaps, and convert findings into strategy, program priorities and recommendations.
  • Lead an integrated approach across disease education, branded communications, digital experiences, patient support and new opportunities, so touchpoints feel connected. Align these programs with the wider brand strategy and work with other functions to keep channels consistent.
  • Define success measures and own them. Use data and experiments to learn what works, adjust strategy quickly, report performance, and recommend where to invest or scale.
  • Lead patient marketing work with Patient Advocacy, Medical, Market Access, Sales, Analytics, Legal, Regulatory and Compliance, and other teams to deliver a unified patient experience. Resolve competing priorities, build alignment, and guide project teams and share best practices.
  • Set clear expectations for agencies and external partners and oversee their performance. Manage budgets, timelines and review processes to high standards of speed and quality. Forecast spend, assess resourcing, recommend changes as priorities shift, and raise problems early through to resolution.

Requirements

  • Show what you have built and the impact you have made; years in the role matter less.
  • Have led patient or consumer marketing strategy independently in biopharma, healthcare or another highly regulated field. Launch experience owning key marketing workstreams is strongly preferred.
  • Understand the patient journey well and turn patient insight into compelling strategy, experiences and execution.
  • Set strong strategic direction and priorities, and still be willing to get into details and move work forward yourself.
  • Have led integrated marketing across channels from planning through execution and optimization, with a solid grasp of digital engagement and changing consumer behavior.
  • Use research, analytics and performance data fluently to make decisions, set investment priorities, test assumptions and improve results.
  • Have led complex cross-functional work in a fast-moving setting where influence counts more than rank. Can align stakeholders, handle competing priorities and steer teams toward shared goals.
  • Have managed agency relationships, budgets and milestone delivery, and taken accountability for quality, spend and results.
  • Communicate clearly, turning complex ideas into simple, actionable points. Present recommendations, results and tradeoffs confidently to senior leaders.
  • Work well under ambiguity: ask the necessary questions, decide with incomplete information and limited direction, and adjust as evidence changes.
  • Take high ownership and hold high standards. Follow through, flag risks early, give and receive candid feedback, and care about both quality and the people doing the work.
  • CNS, specialty, rare disease or other high-unmet-need experience is valued, but curiosity, learning speed and proven impact matter more than matching every item.
  • Annualized base salary of $176,000 to $196,000 USD.
